Little Miss Muffet Inspiratie/Little Miss muffet Inspiration.

Een Little Miss Muffet kaartje ter inspiratie; Evelyn heb ik gebruikt, één van de Art Deco dames die Barbara heeft getekend ten tijde van de Paris release samen met Make it Crafty en Whimsy stamps. Ik heb haar gecombineerd met Alexander van Make it Crafty, vond dat ze zo mooi bij elkaar pasten, echt een stelletje. Ik heb er een beetje een mannenkaart van gemaakt met Basic Grey papier dat ook echte mannenkleuren heeft. Alles is gedistressed met Walnut Stain en het klokstempel in de rechter bovenhoek heb ik met Stazon Timber Brown gestempeld. Ik vind dat dat de details beter doet uitkomen dat Distress Inkt.
A Little Miss Muffet card for inspiration; I used Evelyn this time, one of the Art Deco ladeis Barbara drew at the time of the Paris release together with Make it Crafty and Whimsy Stamps. I combined her with Alexander by Make it Crafty and I think the're such a good match, they really look like a couple. I made a guy card with Basic Grey paper which has manly colours. I distressed everything with Walnut stain and the clockstamp in the upper right hand corner was stamped with Stazon Timber Brown. I think that ink makes the details come out better than Distress Inks.

Hier de stempeltjes in detail. Ik heb gekleurd met Copics en ik heb haar huidskleur bewust wat lichter gehouden. Ik vind dat wel passen bij zo'n dame. Ik heb beiden uitgeknipt en ze vervolgens op groen cardstof geplakt. Tegen de achtergrond van het papier kwamen ze namelijk niet mooi uit. Vervolgens heb ik ze nogmaals uitgeknipt met een groen randje. Bij haar hoedje zitten van die sprietjes en die kun je niet uitknippen. Die heb ik er dus afgeknipt en vervolgens heb ik ze teruggetekend op het groene cardstock van de achtergrond.
Here are the stamps in detail. I coloured with Copics and kept her skintone a little lighter which I think is fitting for such a lady. I cut out both and glued them to a green cardstock background. The didn;t stand out against the DP background. I then cut them out again but with a small green border all around. Her hat had these thingies sticking out which are too small to cut out. I therefore cut them off and drew them on the green cardstock I used behind the images.

De auto is een Marianne stans die ik laatst gewonnen heb bij die enorme prijs van Kenny K. Ik heb 'm uit donkerbeuin cardstock gestanst en vervolgens met een blending tool en embossing inkt bewerkt waarna ik er met een kwastje Perfect Pearls in een groene tint opgekwast heb. Dit geeft een mooie metallic glans op de bovenliggende delen terwijl het geëmboste mooi donkerbruin bleef. Leuk effect hè?! Wel even gefixeerd met haarlak. Eronder kleine scrabble steentjes om het woord te vormen en een zelfgemaakte stoffen bloem. Wil je weten hoe je die moet maken, kijk dan hier bij mijn tutorial.
The car is a Marianne die that I won the other day in that huge prize for the 2 year aniversary of Kenny K. I cut it out of darkbrown cardstock and then using a blending tool rubbed embossing ink over it and added some Perfect Pearls in a green colour. That way you get a lovely metallic effect and the embossed areas stay darkbrown and make the car stand out. Love the effect. I did fixate with some hairspray. Under the car I used scrabble pieces to make the word and a selfmade fabric flower. If you want to know how to make it, check out my tutorial here.

Op de voorgrond heb ik weer een Tim Holtz clock uitgestanst en die eerst okergeel geschilderd, dan Antique Linnen Crackle Paint gebruikt en vervolgens nog gedistressed met Walnut Stain. Het tekststempel is van Whimsy stamps, de blaadjes swirl van Cheery Lynn en de bloemetjes van Wild Orchids.
In the foreground I used a Tim Holtz Clock which I painted ochre yellow first, and then I used Antique Linnen Crackle Paint; finally I distressed with Walnut Stain. The leaf swirl is Cheery Lynn and I added some Wild Orchids flowers.

Ben officieel verslaafd; steampunk! I'm officially addicted; steampunk!

Jawel hoor, het is gebeurd, ben nu officieel verslaafd aan steampunk! Ik vind het zo leuk om te maken, wel bewerkelijk en wat wordt je vies van al die inkt en verf, maar LEUK!!! Hier komt er weer één dus. Deze keer met niet één, maar twee digi's van Make it Crafty, het klokhuis en Alexander. Het DP is van de Action, niet te geloven hè, zulk mooi papier. De klok en tandwielen weer op dezelfde manier bewerkt als in het voorlaatste bericht maar nu met donkerblauwe acrylverf en tarnished brass Crackle Paint.
Ok, it's happened, I am now officially addicted to steampunk! I love making these cards, it's a lot of work though and you fet so filthy with al the ink and paints, but FUN!!! Here's another one. This time I used not one but two digi's from Make it Crafty, the Clockhouse and Alexander. The DP is by Action, that's a shop that sells stuff dirt cheap so the paper blocks 6 x 6'are only € 1,39, can you believe it? Now the clock and gears have had the same treatment as on my previous steampunk post, but now I used a really darkblue acryllic paint and Crackle Paint Tarnished Brass.

Aan de binnenkant Heb ik een postzegelstempel van Whimsy gebruikt en op een nestability label het verjaardag poststempeltje ook van Whimsy. Op de voorgrond heb ik een lange en al heel oude stans van Sizzlits gebruikt met een filmstrip waarin ik een tekst heb gestempeld. Op de middencirkel heb ik klokjes gestempeld met Maya stempels.
On the inside I used the postagestamp sentiment by Whimsy along with the happy birthday postmark stmap. In the foreground I used an ancient die by Sizzlits with a filmstrip in which I stamped another sentiment. In the middle circle I stamped clocks with Maya stamps.

Hier detailfoto's van de digi’s die ik heb gebruikt. Omdat ik het klokhuis in het midden van de klok wilde hebben moest ik ‘m enorm klein uitprinten. De afbeelding is echt héél gedetailleerd dus dat was me een gepriegel, maar wat ik in mijn hoofd heb….. haha!
Here’s a detailpicture of the digital images I used. Because I wanted the clockhouse in the middle of the clock I had to print it at a really small size. When you see how detailed this image is you can imagine how I nearly needed a magnifying glass to colour, but once I made up my mind to do something, well you know I don’t let go LOL!

De bloemen heb ik gemaakt van bruin inpakpapier. Ik heb eerst bloemen geponst en vervolgens deze met Stazon donkerbruin en een tekststempel gestempeld. Beïnkt met Walnut Stain en opgepropt. Vervolgens een aantal lagen op elkaar gelegd en vastgemaakt met een koperkleurige brad.
I made the flowers with brown wrapping paper. First I punched some flowers which I stamped with a textstamp and darkbrown Stazon and then I distressed them with walnut stain. I crumbled them up, opened them again and attached several layers with a copper brad.

Het kleine zakhorloge is uit een zakje met allerlei nostalgische elementjes dat ik ooit eens heb gekocht. Ben benieuwd wat jullie van mijn nieuwe verslaving vinden, en hier dan nog de Copic kleuren die ik heb gebruikt.

The small pocket watch I bought once together with some other nostalgic elements. I'm so curious what you think of my new addiction, and here are the Copic colors of today's card.

Grand release, three companies working together, Little Miss Muffet, Whimsey Stamps & Make it Crafty!

So here's my card and I used the image called La Jeune Fille à Eventail by Little Miss Muffet, even her name sounds romantic! You can get her as a digi image as well as in rubber! I made an easelcard because I wanted to use that gorgeous Make it Crafty background and that wouldn't leave much room for embellishments and an easel card solves that problem. I used one paper from K & Company Ancestry and the Yellow paper with the roses is one from my stash, brand unknown.

I coloured the LMM image with Copics because I wanted the pleats to really show en the image to stand out, but the background I did on Cotmans Aquarelpaper and coloured with Distress inks to give it that soft vintage look which I find very hard to achieve with Copics. I made the windows look glossy with a clear embossing powder and in the corners I stamped with a vintage background stamp to add to the vintage look of the card.

Here's a little detail picture to show the pretty gem I gave that little lady, and the pearls I added to her fan.

In the foreground I used a Cheery Lynn swirl leaf die with some flowers and Cheery Lynn Butterflies that sparkle with Diamond Stickles.

And just look at that stunning chipboard shape from Make it Crafty, have you ever seen such intricate cutting? They have an entire range of those that are all stunning, and the sentiment inside is by Whimsey. They have come up with matching Die cuts for these sentiments in case you haven't got the chippies from Make it Crafty.
