Weekendje weg en Dylusions voor mijn dochter!

Oh meisjes, ik ben heerlijk een weekendje weg geweest! We zaten met twee hele lieve vrienden in een vakantiehuisje in Gelselaar in Overijssel. En wat hadden we een mazzel met het weer; het was koud, dat wel, maar een stralend blauwe lucht en een heerlijke zon! Het was echt een soort mini vakantie en we hebben genoten met z'n allen. Dus vandaar, geen bezoekjes van mij. Als ik later in de week foto's heb zet ik ze nog wel in een post, want het is wel erg mooi daar zeg.
Verder heb ik nog zo'n leuk to do boekje gepimpt, deze keer voor mijn dochter die net zo vergeetachtig is als ik; onder een appelboom vallen geen peren haha! Wel weer een hele andere kleurstelling en de manier waarop de inkt liep vond ik een beetje 'waterachtig', vandaar het zeepaardje en de zeermeermin. Over de Dylusion inkt heb ik nog wat Glimmer Mist Clover gespoten waardoor er een prachtige fijne glitter over ligt, maar dat kun je op de foto niet 'vangen'.
Ow girls, have had a wonderful weekendtrip! We spent the weekend in Overijssel which is a Dutch county some 2,5 hours drive from where I live. We were so lucky with the weather; it was cold but such bright sunny weather! It was like a proper mini holiday and hubby and me and our 2 dear friends who came along really enjoyed ourselves. So that's why there were no visits to your blogs from me this weekend. When I get the pictures I will post them for you'll to see.
And then I pimped another to do book, this time for my daughter who is as forgetfull as I am! She takes after me I think LOL! The colors are totally different from my book though and the way the inks ran, it reminded me of water, that's why the mermaid and seahorse are there. I sprayed some Glimmer Mist Clover over the Dylusions, which gives a wonderful fine glimmer over the entire book, but unfortunately it doesn't show up on the picture.

Ik heb hier en daar een Tim Holtz masker gebruikt met een windroos. Deze plakt een beetje en heb ik licht beneveld met water. Daarna met een rol keukenpapier eroverheen en je krijgt een zogenaamde 'ghost' afdruk ervan. De witte stippels heb ik met een masker en gesso gemaakt. De zeemeermin is een digi van Little Miss Muffet en werd getekend door Simply Sophie. De vinnen heb ik bewerkt met Ice Stickles Arctic Ice. Hier en daar heb ik gedoodeld met een witte verfstift. Verder nog laarsjes en een paraplu gestempeld en dat zijn stempels van Dylusions.

I used a Tim Holtz mask with a compass; it's sticky on one side and I sprayed some water on. After that you dab with a piece of kitchen roll and then you get a so called ghost image. The wite dots are made with a mask and gesso. De mermaid is a digi from Little Miss Muffet drawn by Simply Sophie. I gave her fins some Ice Stickles Arctic Ice. Here and there I doodles a little with a white painmaker. Then I stamped boots and an  umbrella with Dylusion stamps.

Hier nog een close upje van de zeemeermin; ik vind haar zo grappig getekend, niet te 'cute' want dat vind ik dan weer niet passen bij de Dylusions stijl. De lijnen van de digi vond ik een beetje te dun dus die heb ik overgetrokken met een zwarte fineliner. Ben wel benieuwd hoe jullie deze vinden.
Here's a little close up of the mermaid; I love the quirky way she was drawn, not too 'cute' because I think cute doesn't fit the Dylusion style. I did find the lines of the digi too light so I made them a little stronger with a black fineliner. Very curious to know how you girls like this one.

Nieuwe release bij Little Miss Muffet, en LEUK!!! New release at Little Miss Muffet, you'll love it!

Vind je deze schattige Clover niet helemaal geweldig?? En er zijn vier verschillende stempels in deze serie! Dit is Clover  Dancing with Dragonflies, vandaar dus ook die libelle bovenaan op de kaart.De strik is gemaakt van seam binding en ik heb er twee bedels aan vast genaaid die er prachtig bij kleuren. Het papier heb ik bij Het papier heb ik bij de laatste demodagen bij Doe@ding gekocht en is van My Minds Eye, Be Happy.
Don't you just adore this gorgeous Clover?? And there are 4 different stamps in this series! This is Clover Dancing with Dragonflies, that's what the dragonfly at the top of the card is doing there. I made a bow from seam binding and sewed two charms to it that match the color of the card perfectly.The Paper is from My Minds Eye and called Be Happy.

Ik heb de digi uitgeprint op aquarelpapier en deels met Distress Inkt en deels met Twinkling H2O ingekleurd. Het rokje en shirtje en de stippen op de paddenstoel zijn met Twinkling H2O gedaan, de rest met Distress Inkt. De wolkjes heb ik met Broken China
Distress Inkt en een zelf geknipt malletje erop gesponst met een blending tool.
I printed the digi on aquarelpaper and colored partly with Distress Inks and partly with Twinkling H2O. The skirt and shirt as well as the dots on the toadstool have been done with Twinkling H2O, the rest with Distress Inks. The clouds were made using some Broken China Distress Ink, selfmade cloud shape and a blending tool.

De grote libelle bovenaan de kaart is een Cheery Lynn stans. Die heb ik bewerkt met Perfect Pearls Copper en Perfect Pearls Blue Patina voor de vleugels. Daarna heb ik er wat haarlak overheen gespoten om te voorkomen dat de P.P. eraf geveegd worden.
I cut the dragonfly at the top of the card with a Cheery Lynn die. I covered it with Perfect Pearls Copper and the winges with Perfect Pearls Blue Patina. I then sprayed some hairspray on it to prevent the P.P. from coming off.

Tenslotte heb ik onderop wat bloemetjes geplakt in de kleuren die ook in de kaart zitten. Het schattige gietertje heb ik 2 jaar geleden in Italië gekocht in één of ander souvenirwinkeltje. Jullie zouden echt even bij http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.nl/ moeten gaan kijken om te zien wat mijn teamgenoten hebben gemaakt, en bij http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/ kun je natuurlijk alle nieuwe digi's aankopen. At the bottom of the card I added some flowers in the colors of the card. That cute little watering can was bought in Italy on holiday, 2 years ago. Kerstkaartje met de schets van Nederlands Kaarten blog. Christmas card with Magnolia.

Toch maar weer een Magnoliaatje en geen echt kerstpapier, maar gewoon het paarse Maja papier Carpe Diem.  De goudkleurige hoekjes zijn gestanst met een Sizzlit stans uit de vintage set. De geponste rand is gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons.
Another Magnolia and no Christmas paper but simply the purple Maja Carpe Diem paper. The gold colored corner elements were made with a Sizzlit die from the Vintage set. The punched edge was made with a Martha Stewart punch.

Ik heb haar weer ingekleurd met Copics, maar ben deze keer vergeten een foto van de kleuren te nemen, sorry......

De linker tag zit gewoon vast en de rechtse tag kun je eruit halen en biedt ruimte om een persoonlijke boodschap op te schrijven.
The left tag is taped down but the right one comes out and offers some space for writing a personal message.

Onderaan een strikje en om het een beetje op te leuken heb ik een klein stukje goud parelkoord ertussen geplakt. A small bow at the bottom and to brighten it up I added some goldcolored pearl string.

Kijk, deze gemaakt bij Anita en Elly afgelopen zaterdag in Spijkenisse. Made these last Saturday at Doe@Ding.

Afgelopen zaterdag was ik nog met mijn lieve schoondochter bij Doe@Ding in Spijkenisse waar Anita en Elly allebei een workshop gaven. Bij Anita heb ik deze tag gemaakt met Distress Markers en zulks lieve stempeltjes! Het was echt super gezellig, Anita is echt zo'n lieverd! Ik vond de Distress markers om mee in te kleuren een beetje werken als Aquamarkers, met dat verschil dat hier mee pigment in zit. Ik vind de Aquamarkers zo licht kleuren dat ik er niet vaak naar pak. Maar deze tag is wel heel erg leuk geworden vind ik.
Last Saturday I was at Doe@ Ding in Spijkenisse with my daughter in law where Anita and Elly both gave a workshop. I made this tag with Anita using Distress Markers and these wonderful stamps. It was such fun and Anita is such a sweetheart! I found that the Distress Markers work a little like the Aquamakers, with the difference that the Distress Markers have more pigment. I find that the Aquamarkers give off a very light color and I don;t use them very often. But this tag turned out really nice I think.

Elly gaf een workshop met Pan Pastels. Daar had ik nog nooit mee gewerkt dus ik vond het wel leuk om eens te proberen. Ik vind het effect wel leuk, maar vraag me af of ik er veel mee zou gaan werken. Ik ben bang dat ik het vrij snel beu ben. Maar de gelegenheid om er een keer mee te werken was wel leuk.
Elly gave a workshop with Pan Pastels. I hadn't worked with them yet so I really liked trying them out. I like the effect, but I wonder whether I would use them a lot. I'm afraid I might get a little bored with them. But I did enjoy trying them out. 

Nou, zomaar een tussendoortje. Ik heb nog een kaartje in de maak (twee zelfs, maar één daarvan kan ik pas volgende week laten zien), en met die andere kom ik hopelijk morgen mee terug. Lieve groetjes, Frea

Laatste vakantiedag....zucht! Last day of my autumn holiday....sigh!

Even een kort berichtje want vandaag is het mijn laatste herfstvakantiedag; op naar de kerstvakantie haha! Ik wilde jullie even laten zien wat ik laatstgemaakt heb tijdens een workshop. Ik  ben  naar de Doe@ding demodagen geweest en daar heb ik bij Monique Lokhorst zo'n prachtig cadeautasje gemaakt, gewoon té mooi. Het zit vol met allerlei prachtige details en op de koop toe ben ik nu in het bezit van die mooie Magnolia stempel!
Just a short message because todat is my last day before getting back to work. I wanted to show you something I made on a workshop with Monique Lokhorst who designs for the Magnolia Ink Magazine. Isn't it gorgeous?! It's full of lovely details and now I own this beautiful Magnolia stamp!

Hier een detailfoto van het ingekleurde stempeltje, natuurlijk met Distress Inkt refills ingekleurd waarna we nog accenten hebben gezet met de Distress Markers.
Here's a detailpicture of the colored stamp, of course done with Distress Inks after which we made some accents with the Distress Markers.

Bovenaan zit nog een label dat dubbelgevouwen is en gemaakt met een Magnolia stans.
At the top there's a tag which is folded double and made with a Magnolia die.

De bloemen zijn gemaakt van twee gestanste kerststerren die flink gedistressed zijn met in het midden een bloem van Wild Orchids.
The flowers are made with 2 diecut pointsettia's that have been distressed with Walnut Stain with a Wild Orchids flower in the middle.

En nog een Magnolia Kerstkaartje! And another Magnolia Christmas card!

Als je eenmaal begint krijgt je de smaak wel te pakken zeg. Hier dus nog een Magnolia kerstkaartje.
Once you get going, you really get the Christmas virus don't you?! So here's another Magnolia Christmas card.

Deze heb ik gemaakt met het papier van First Editin, het blokje heet Christmas Joy. Het achtergrondpapier met de kleine besjes heeft een glimmertje, maar dat kun je op de detailfoto's beter zien. Ik heb Tilda weer met Copics gekleurd.De randen heb ik gedistressed met Old Paper en dat heb ik ook gedaan met alle randjes. De rand van de muts, de pompom en de rand van haar jurkje heb ik met Flower Soft bewerkt.
Now this one was made with First Edition papers Christmas Joy. The background paper with the small berries has a glitter on, but you can see that better on the detailpictures. I colored Tilda with Copics again. I distressed around the image with Old Paper and did the same with all the other paper edges. I have the edge of her dress and hat and the pompom some FLower Soft.

Het hart is van chipboard en heb ik eerst cremekleurig geverfd met Acrylverf.  Daarna heb ik er cracle medium op gedaan en vervolgens een kleur roze gemengd die zo dicht mogelijk bij het papier kwam. Je krijgt dan prachtige crackles maar wel veel grover dan de Crackle Paint van Tim Holtz, maar die was er niet in de goede kleur. Tenslotte heb ik aan de randen Perfect Pearl Medium gedept en vervolgens met een kwastje perfect pearls Forever Red aangebracht. Tot mijn verbazing kun je het zelfs een beetje zien op de foto.
I painted the chipboard heart cream with acryllic paint and then punt some crackle medium on. I mixed up pink accryllic to match the color of the papers and you get a wonderful crackle. It it however not so fine as the crackle paint by Tim Holtz which I usually use, but I just didn't have the proper color. And in the end I dabbed the edges of the heart with Perfect Pearl Medium and with a brush added some Perfect Pearls Forever Red which to my susprise actually shows up on the picture.

Het tekststempel is van Whimsy stamps en heb ik gestempeld met Distress Inkt Victorian Velvet en vervolgens uitgeknipt en een randje Stickles gegeven, het is per slot van rekening een kerstkaartje.
Th sentiment stamp is by Whimsy stamps and I stamped with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet and cut it out and gave it some Stickles, it is after all a Christmas card.

Nieuwe Challenge bij Little Miss Muffet; Halloween

De nieuwe challenge bij Little Miss Muffet - hoe kan het ook anders - is Halloween (gebruik vnl. oranje, paars, groen en zwart). De laatste release heeft meer dan genoeg leuke stempels en ik heb gekozen voor Celeste Amberglow Fairy Special. Het papier is gratis te downloaden Halloween papier dat ik vervolgens zelf heb uitgeprint. De basiskaart had ik al liggen maar was verkeerd gesneden waardoor één deel veel te lang was. Ik wilde 'm eerst afsnijden, maar besloot om er een soort klepje van te maken waarmee je de kaart dicht kunt maken. Best een leuk effect!
The new challenge at Little Miss Muffet - makes sense in this time of year - is Halloween (use mainly orange, purple, green and black). The last release has lots of cute stamps for Halloween and I picked Celeste Amberglow Fairy Special. The papers I used are freebies that you can download form the Internet. I had the basic card ready but I cut it wrong with one side too long. Initially I wantedto cut it off but decided I would make a flap to close the  card with. I like the effect!

Ik heb de afbeelding gecombineerd met de Stacked Pumpkins en alles ingekleurd met Copics. Aan haar voeten heb ik een satijnen zwarte kat geplakt die ik een keer in een zakje bij Xenos heb gekocht, samen met het hekje links bovenin en de spookjes. Haar masker heb ik bewerkt met Stickles.
I combined the image with the Stacked Pumpkins and colored with Copics. I put a satin black cat at her feet which I bought a long while ago together with the little witch in the left top corner and the ghosts. I added Stickles to her mask.

Op de strook van het klepje van de kaart heb ik twee keer het woord BOO met Stickles bewerkt, één met groen en één met paars. De spookjes zijn ook van satijn.
I added Stickles to two of the BOO words, one in green and one in purple. The ghosts are also satin.

Deze keer heb ik de binnenkant van de kaart ook weer eens versiert. Ik heb restjes van het papier gebruikt en vervolgens een lijntjes stempel toegevoegd om tekst op te schrijven.
I decorated the inside of the card too this time. I used leftovers of the papers and added a line stamp to write on.

Een Magnolia Kerstkaartje! A Magnolia Christmas card!

Jawel, eindelijk dan, mijn eerste kerstkaartje van dit jaar! Een Magnoliaatje en ik heb als papier een digitale set gebruikt van Bearly Mine Designs, erg mooi papier dat je zelf uit kunt printen. Deze set heet Christmas Wishes en hij kost maar £ 4,50. Ik heb voor alle diecuts cremekleurig cardstock gebruikt en alles gedistressed met D.I. Walnut Stain en véél details in het kaartje gestopt.
Well here it is, my very first Christmas card! A Magnolia card and I used digital paper for this one from Bearly Mine Designs, lovely paper which you can print yourself. This set is called Christmas wishes and costs only £ 4,50.I used creamcolored cardstock for all the diecuts I made and distressed everything with Walnut Stain. 

Ik heb Tilda natuurlijk weer ingekleurd met Copics. Op haar gezichtje heb ik geprobeerd bij het voorhoofd wat diepte aan te brengen. Ik weet niet zeker of ik het wel mooi vind, wat vinden jullie? Haar mof heb ik bewerkt met Flower Soft en ook de rand van haar schaatsjes. Aan de onderkant van haar rokje en rond het hartje op haar mof wat zilverkleurige Stickles. Rondom heb ik kleine sneeuwsterren gestempeld en met zilverkleurig embossingpoeder bewerkt. Verder heb ik rondom de ovale stans nog cremekleurige pareltjes met de Viva perlen pen gemaakt.
I colored Tilda with Copics. I tried to add some depth round here forehead, but am not sure whether I like it. What do you think? I gave her muff some Flower Soft as well as the edge of her skates. On the seam of her skirt and around the heart on her muff I added some silvercolored Stickles. Around Tilda I stamped some small snowstars which I gave some silvercolored embossing powder. Around the oval diecur I added creamcolored pearls with the Viva Perlen Pen. 

Bovenaan heb ik op een strookje cardstock een kerstwens gestempeld. Vervolgens aan de uiteinden ingeknipt en naast de tekst gerild. Onder het middengedeelde foamtape geplakt om dat deel te verhogen. Aan het labeltje hangt een schaats bedeltje maar hij is een beetje gedraaid dus hier zie je 'm niet zo goed. 
For the sentiment at the top of my card I stamped a Dutch Christmas wish (which means Happy Holidays), onto a strip of cardstock. I cut the ends and folded next to the text. Then I put foamtape underneath the text part to raise that. I also hung a shate charm on the tag which doesn't really show here because it's turned.

De bloemen heb ik gemaakt met een creatable kerstster stans in combinatie met een Magnolia bloemenstans. Ik heb ze gedistressed met Walnut Stain en in het midden gevouwen om wat dimensie te krijgen. Vervolgens nog een kersenbloesem van Wild Orchids erop geplakt in het midden en een takje met een Martha Stewart pons gemaakt.

The flowers were made with a creatable pointsettia die in combination with a Magnolia flower die. I distressed them with Walnut Stain and folded the leaved in the middle in order to create dimension. In the middle I added a Wild Orchids cherry flower and a branch made with a Martha Stewart punch. 

Rechtsonder heb ik nog een bosje met besjes geplakt met een mooie strik erop.
At the bottom right I added some berries together with a lovely bow.

Dat was 'm dan wel. Voor een eerste kaart vind ik 'm best geslaagd. Hopelijk jullie ook. XXX Frea

Ik ben Guest Designer bij Jacksons Digital Expressions.

Een tijdje geleden won ik de challenge bij Jacksons Digital Expressions en behalve dat ik een digitale stempel won kreeg ik ook een plaatsje als Guest Designer aangeboden. Altijd leuk natuurlijk. Met nog een extra digitale stempel ben ik dus aan de slag gegaan, en zo is 'ie geworden. 
A while ago I won the challenge at Jacksons Digital Expressions and besides winning a digital stamp I won a place as Guest Designer. With an extra digital stamp I started my card and this is how it turned out.

Omdat ik zo in de multimedia zit op het moment heb ik de achtergrond(en) zelf gemaakt. Ik ben begonnen met Distress Inkt Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood en Stormy Sky op een craft sheet aan te brengen. Een beetje water eroverheen en dan je papier erin deppen. Vervolgens heb ik er met Glimmer mist overheen gespoten. Dan heb ik met D.I. Chipped Sapphire een honingraat stencil gedept en vervolgens slordig afgedrukt. Ik heb druppels cremekleurige acrylverf laten vallen en uitgerold met een roller. Vervolgens heb ik met lichtblauwe acrylverf en een sponsje op een stencil gedept. Tenslotte nog in de hoeken met Distress Inkt en vintage stempels van LOTV gestempeld en hier en daar een Libelle.

Bij het tweede vel ging ik een beetje de mist in want na dezelfde stappen te hebben doorlopen als hierboven dacht ik dat ik i.p.v. druppels acrylverf een paar sliertjes erop kon spuiten maar toen ik ging rolleren was mijn hele vel dus bedekt met acrylverf. Paniek, maar ik ben gewoon doorgegaan en uiteindelijk ben ik met stencils en verf en stempels toch zover geraakt dat ik 'm acceptabel vond.
Now the 2nd sheet of paper went slightly wrong; I thought instead of using drops I would make a swirl with paint, but when I started brayering my entire sheet was covered in paint. Total panic! But in the end I just continued with inks and stamps and got to a point where I found it was quite acceptable. 

De digi's heb ik ingekleurd met Distress Inkt om een vintage effect te krijgen. Ik vind Miss Lady echt schitterend, ik hou zo van die ouderwetse jurken. Natuurlijk ben ik in de kleur van de achtergrond gebleven dus Weathered Wood en wat Faded Jeans om er meer blauw in te brengen. Ik heb geprobeerd een donkere huidskleur te krijgen en ik moet zeggen dat die indruk in het echt meer gewekt wordt dan hier op de foto.
I colored these digi's with Distress Inks to obtain that vintage effect. I just love Miss Lady, I really like those oldfashioned dresses. I stayed in the color of the background I have made so I used a lot of Weathered Wood and some Faded Jeans to get some more blue in. I tried to get a dark skintone but I must say that the original does more justice to it than the picture does.

Deze elegante heer heeft geen naam; hij wordt gewoon GQ IV genoemd. Ik vond de manier waarop hij om lijkt te kijken geweldig en heb dat dus ook gebruikt in mijn kaart. Ik heb hem een stuk kleiner uitgeprint dan Miss Lady zodat hij in de achtergrond lijkt te staan en omkijkt naar haar. En wie kan hem dat kwalijk nemen, ze is toch prachtig vinden jullie niet?! 
Now this guy doesn't have a name; he's simply called GQ IV. I like the way he seems lo be looking back and I used that in my card; by printing him a lot smaller and sticking him to the right hand upper corner of Miss Lady he seems to be standing in the background, looking at her. And can you blame him?! She looks stunning doesn't she?! 

Op de voorgrond heb ik wat Magnolia heartswirls gebruikt. De hoed en sleutel heb ik gekocht in een setje vintage versieringen. De verjaardagswens heb ik gestempeld en met blauw embossingpoeder bewerkt.

Ehm....vergeetachtig zei ik toch?! I did say I was forgetful...?!

En dus ga je op zoek naar een oplossing! En die vond ik voor de welgetelde somma van € 1,- bij de Prijsmepper haha!! Toegegeven, ik moest er een nachtje over slapen, zo'n enorme uitgave, maar uiteindelijk vond ik de aanschaf dan toch gerechtvaardigd haha! Een 'To do' boekje! Die vroeg er natuurlijk wel om gepimpt te worden en wat is hiervoor beter geschikt dan mijn gloednieuwe Dylusion inktjes? Ik ben deze keer gegaan voor de koele kleuren dus ik heb gebruikt Bubblegum Pink, Crushed Grape en London Blue. Op de voorkant staat natuurlijk ' To Do'!!
And so you search for a solution! And I found it in the form of a to do book for the enormous amount of € 1,-  at the Prijsmepper (which translates best as: Pricecrusher). Admittedly, I did have to sleep on it overnight, such a huge expence....but in the end I thought it would be a good decision LOL! Nou the book did need some pimping and what better suited for the job than my new Dylusions inks? I went for the cool colors this time, so I used Bubblegum Pink, Crushed Grape and London Blue. On the front it says: To do!!

En op de achtergrond dacht ik moest ook tekst komen en dat werd dus: DONE!!
And I felt it should have texting on the back too and soo that became: DONE!!

Hier een detailfoto van de voorkant waarbij ik een paar technieken zal uitleggen. Ik ben begonnen met een groot vel met een beetje water vochtig te maken waarna ik de verschillende kleuren Dylusions op het vel spuit. Om de kleuren wat lichter te maken kun je na een halve minuut even deppen met keukenpapier maar ik heb dat niet gedaan. Daarna heb ik nog Glimmer Mist eroverheen gesprayd, maar op de foto is de prachtige glimmer niet goed te zien. De donkere afdruk (het zijn sleutels) zijn gemaakt door een stencil op het vel te leggen en met schoon water te bespuiten. Til voorzichtig het stencil op en na zo'n 10 seconden moet je dan met keukenpapier deppen. Je tilt daardoor de inkt op waar het water heeft gezeten en krijgt dus een afdruk van je stencil. De blaadjes heb ik gestempeld met watervaste inkt. Vervolgens heb ik ze met een waterpenseel een paar keer nat gemaakt en steeds tussendoor gedept met keukenpapier; je haalt dan de inkt weg. Vervolgens een beetje Bubblegum Pink op mijn craftsheet gespoten en met een penseel de blaadjes weer ingeschilderd.
Here's a detailpicture of the front and I will explain a few techniques. I started misting a large sheet of paper with water and then I sprayed the three colors of Dylusions I picked. If you want you can you some kitchenroll to pick up some ink and lighten the color but I didn't want that. After that I sprayed some Glimmer Mist, but I don't think the lovely shimmer really shows on the pictures. Now the dark impression (they are actually keys) was made by laying a stencil on your paper and then misting it with water. Carefully pick up the stencil, let it sit for about 10 seconds and then roll with kitchenroll over your paper. Now you will lift some ink where there was water and that will give a dark impression of your stencil.  Now the pink leaves were stamped with Memento ink. Then I took a waterbrush and I wet the leaves with water and again lifted ink off the paper with kitchen roll. I repeated that a few times and then painted over the leaves with a little Bubblegum Pink ink.

Op dit stukje die je het 'kippengaas' motief in wit; dit is gemaakt met een stencil waar ik met de zachte kant van een schuursponsje gesso op heb gedept. De blaadjes aan de rechterkant zijn met een super goedkoop stempel van de Action gemaakt; de buitenste heb ik met Memento Tuxedo  Black gestempeld en die vage met Memento London Fog. Een leuk schaduw effect geeft dat. Verder heb ik alle witte lijntjes met een witte verfstift gedoodeld.
Now on this part you can see a 'chickenwire' pattern which I made with a stencil and some Gesso which I dabbed on it with the soft side of a sanding sponge. The leaves on the right side were made with a super duper cheap stamp by Action; I first stamped some with Memento Tuxedo Black and then added a few with Memento London Fog. It gives such a nive shadow effect. And finally I doodled some with a white paint marker.

Jongens..ehm ik bedoel meisjes, dit is echt zoooo leuk om te doen. Je zit wel tot je ellebogen onder de inkt haha, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken! Ben benieuwd wat jullie van mijn nieuwe verslaving vinden.
Guys..ehm I mean girls, this is sooo much fun to do. However, you will be covered with ink up to your elbows though LOL! I'm curious to know what you think of my new addiction!

Magnolia kaartje met een sketch van Sketch & Stash

Zo meisjes, voor de verandering eens een Magnoliaatje uit de oude doos, d.w.z., het ingekleurde stempeltje is er één uit de oude doos. Het papier is weer eens van de Action, blijft toch prima papier voor een kaartje.
Well girls, a little Magnolia card from the golden oldies, well, the image is from the golden oldies anyway. The paper is by Action.

In de rechter bovenhoek heb ik een stans gebruikt van Noor Design die ik pas bij Doe@Ding heb gekocht en het hart links onderin is van Cheery Lynn. De parels komen ook van de Action vandaan.
In the upper righthand corner I used a die by Noor Design and the die in the bottom lefthand corner is by Cheery Lynn. The pearls are also by Action. 

Ingekleurd met Distress Inkt toen dat nog op de HEMA correspondentiekaartjes ging, nou dat is lang geleden hoor! Rechts onderaan heb ik wat bloemetjes toegevoegd en blaadjes. Die boven het roosje zijn met een pons gemaakt en de overige met Cheery Lynn stansen.
I colored it with Distress Inks and at the time I didn't color on Aquarel paper yet which really shows. But you know me, can't throw anything out. I threw on some flowers and leaves, the leaves above the rose are made with a punch and the others with Cheery Lynn dies.

Aan de binnenkant een verjaardagswens in het Turks. De kaart is namelijk bedoeld voor een Turkse vriendin van mijn dochter en ze vond het leuk om de verjaardagswens in het Turks te zetten.
On the inside the sentiment is in Turkish; the card is ment voor a Turkish girlfriend  of my daughter and she thought it would be a nice idea to put the sentiment in Turkish.
