Beterschap met Dylusions! Get well soon with Dylusions!

Een beterschapskaartje, want na mijn laatste kaart voor Loek kwam ik erachter dat ik dus niks op voorraad heb. Mijn zus Annika kwam knutselen en had deze leuke Kraftin Kimmie stempel bij zich die zich prima leent voor zo'n kaartje. De andere stempels zijn van Dylusions en nog een paar stempels die ik al had.
A get well card, because after ,my last card for Loek I realised I had nothing on the shelf for such occasions. And then my sister Annika came over for some crafting and brought this cute Kraftin Kimmie, which was perfect for such a card. The other stamps I used are by Dylusions and I used several stamps I had lying about.

De tekst stempeltjes horen bij het KK stempeltjes en ik vond ze erg leuk om te gebruiken.
The sentiment stamps came with the KK stamp and I loved them.

En dan tenslotte de binnenkant van de kaart. Hier heb ik alleen het hoofd van het stempel gebruikt samen met de spuit. Ben weer benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden.

Beterschap voor onze Loek! Get well card for our Loek!

Op heel veel scholen is de concierge zo'n beetje het hart van de school, en onze concierge is daarop geen uitzondering. Onze Loek is al lang met pensioen, maar hij blijft gewoon doorwerken. Hij is intussen als ik het goed heb de 70 gepasseerd, maar ligt nog steeds in zijn overal in de kruipruimte van de school omdat er ergens een lek is of zoiets. Maar nu zit hij in de lappenmand, heeft een operatie gehad en ligt dus in het ziekenhuis. We leven allemaal enorm met hem mee en ik heb deze kaart voor hem gemaakt. De afbeeldingen zijn van de Paper Shelter en het is een hele set met nog een draak erbij en zo, maar die vond ik te uitgebreid. Daarom deze op de voorkant. Ingekleurd met Copics. Het papier een beetje stoer gehouden.
On many schools the concierge is sort of the heart of the school, and our concierge is no exception. Our Loek has been retired for a long time, but he just keeps on working. He's passed 70 now and still crawls on all fours under the school in order to fix a leak or something. But now he's ill, has had an operation and everyone is very worried about him. I made him this card t owish him well. The images are by the Paper Shelter and are part of an entire set called Healing the Dragon, but I left the dragon out. It's a little too playful. The papers are manly and I colored with Copics.

Hier een detailopname van het mannetje op de voorkant. De achtergrond heb ik cremekleurig gemaakt omdat ik het ander te wit vond afsteken tegen de papieren. Ik heb alles met een stiksteekje doorgestikt op de machine behalve de afbeelding die ik met een zigzag heb gedaan. Op de grond heb ik een slagschaduw van het mannetje gemaakt en een hele lichte schaduw van zijn thermometer.
Here's a detail picture of the little man on the front of the card. I colored the background creamcolored because the paper was too white against the color of the papers. I stitched alle the papers with a running stitch on the machine except for the image which I gave a zigzag. On the ground I made a shadow for the little guy and if you look closely I made a very light schadow for the thermometer.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik een vergelijkbare layout gebruikt met hetzelfde papier.Hier heb ik twee van die grappige mannetjes met een lepel medicijn gebruikt. Het label ligt er los op omdat ik er al een persoonlijke boodschap op had geschreven en die wilde ik niet op het internet hebben. Ook hier hetzelfde stikwerk als aan de buitenkant.
On the inside I used a layout that's about the same as he one on the outside with the same papers. I used two of these funny little men, this time with a spoon of medicin. The label is not attached because I had written a personal message on the backside and didn't want it to show in the picture. Here too the same stitching as on the outside.

De nieuwste challenge bij Little Miss Muffet: Scallops.

De nieuwste challenge van deze keer is Scallops, en ik kan toch niet op het Nederlandse woord komen! Ik zit maar te piekeren maar kom er niet op. Letterlijk vertaald betekent het Sint Jacobsschelpen, een schelpenrandje misschien?? Enfin, ik had een beterschap kaartje nodig, dus ik vond Monster Pains een hele toepasselijke digi om te gebruiken. Deze vriendin heeft 2 weken geleden haar arm gebroken, zat dus in het gips en besloot vervolgens over een betonnen randje te struikelen waarbij ze ook nog eens de vingers aan die arm heeft gebroken (want die staken nog uit het gips). Ben je dan een pechvogel?! Het bovenste papier had al een rand en komt uit een boekje van de action met voorgestanst papier met glitter. Het onderste is.....een behangstukje haha! We moesten een haspel gaan kopen, ik was al bezig met de kaart en dit paste er zo perfect bij dat ik dacht, vooruit, meneer Gamma zal één proefstukje niet missen.
The newest challenge this time is scallops. I needed a get well card and decided to use Monster Pains. A friend of mine broke her arm a few weeks ago and to top it all off she managed to trip over a concrete ridge and broke her fingers and thumb on the arm she already broke and that weren't in the cast. How onlucky can you get?! Anyway, the top paper is from a paper pad by Action and has lovely sparkles and a scallopped edge. Tha bottom striped pard is a wall paper sample.

Ik heb ingekleurd met Copics, de afdruk gemaskerd en terwijl de stans nog op het papier staat met Tumbled Glass Distress Inkt en een blender de achtergrond ingekleurd.

De hoekjes bovenaan heb ik gestanst van zelfklevend fluweel maar op de foto vind ik het niet zo goed te zien.
The top corners are made with a Sizzlit die from sticky velvet, but it really doesn't show on the picture.

Linksonder heb ik nog met wat bloemetjes en een strikje gestrooid. De spiralen heb ik gemaakt met raffia waar al een ijzerdraadje in zit. Gekocht bij de Wibra (je vindt toch op de gekste plaatsen bruikbaar materiaal vinden jullie niet?!)
I added some flowers and a bow  on the left hand bottom. The spirals were made from ready made material that has a wire inside.

Deze keer heb ik de binnenkant ook versierd met twee halve cirkels die ook uit het genoemde papierboekje komen. Op de aansluiting heb ik hetzelfde band geplakt als aan de voorzijde. Tegen de aansluiting aan heb ik één van mijn nieuwe Whimsy stempels gebruikt met een op de computer geprinte tekst, de stempels zelf zijn allemaal verjaardagswensen.
This time I did decorate the inside of the card; I used two half circles from the same paper pad I mentioned before. On the seam I added the same ribbon as the front of the card. I used an empty sentiment stamp by Whimsy and printed the text on the computer.

WEEKEND!!!! Woohoo, and a get well card for Donna.

Hallo blogvriendinnetjes!! Ik wil jullie eerst eens even bedanken voor alle leuke reactie op Thea's tasje! Dat vind ik toch zo geweldig dat iedereen dan zo massaal reageert, super leuk voor Thea! Morgen zal ik mijn nieuwe candy op mijn blog posten, dus houd het in de gaten. Vandaag een kaartje en wel voor Donna van Bearly Mine. Zij heeft een nare ziekte te pakken die je kunt krijgen na een virale infectie (in haar geval een gewoon griepje). Het heet Guilliane Barre Syndrome en het zorgt ervoor dat je gevoelloosheid in handen en voeten krijgt en een evenwichtstoornis. Het kan zelfs blijvende schade aanrichten dus het is nog afwachten hoe dit afloopt. Een kaartje vond ik dus wel op zijn plaats en dit is 'm geworden. Voor beterschapskaartjes heb ik eigenlijk maar één toepasselijk stempel, dus jullie zien dan ook steeds deze hond van Heltz Cuppleditz voorbij komen haha!!!
Hello my lovely blogfriends!! First of all I want to thank you for all the sweet comments on Thea's gift purse. I love that everybody takes the trouble to leave some love, it's so nice for Thea! Tomorrow I will be posting a new candy on my blog so keep an eye out. Now I will show you a card I made for Donna of Bearly Mine. She has this nasty thing called Guilliane Bar Syndrome, something you can get after a viral infection. It can cause permanent damage, and gives numbness in hands and feet and disturbs your feeling of balance (it makes you walk wobbly as she calls it LOL!!) Anyway, I wanted to send her a card and this is it!! I actually only own one stamp suited for get well cards and it's this dog by Helz Cuppleditz so you keep seeing this one pop on by LOL!

Ik heb veel gesitressed zoals jullie zien. De basiskaart is van kraft papier en ook achter het stempeltje zit kraft. De stempel is gekleurd met Copics, het papier is van de Action, en de swirl weet ik niet welk merk die is.
Lots of distressing as you can see. I used kraft paper again for the basic card en behind the image. I coloured with Copics again. The paper is by Action and the swirl is one I've also had for a love time and I can't for the life of me remember the brand, sorry...

Het hart is 1 van 4 stanzen van een Sizzlits setje dat ik al een eeuwigheid heb. De blaadjes zijn van een Crealies stansje en ik vind het erg handig dat daarop de blaadjes in drie maten staan. 
The white leaves are a Crealies die which holds both leaves each in 3 different sizes which is very convenient en the heart is one of 4 Sizzlits dies I had for ages.

Nou, toch nog een kaartje op de valreep. Het kostte wel moeite om 'm af te krijgen en eigenlijk is het al lang bedtijd voor mij maar ik wilde toch persé iets aan jullie kunnen laten zien. Een drukke week voor de boeg, dinsdag schoolreisje naar de Efteling, leuk maar een vermoeiende dag. Hopelijk zit het weer een beetje mee en blijft het droog die dag.
Dit kaartje is voor een collega die door een val van de trap haar ribben heeft gebroken. Hoewel ze nu eigenlijk een beetje hersteld zou moeten zijn bleef ze maar benauwd en nu blijkt dat haar long geperforeerd is. Ze ligt dus nu in het ziekenhuis, vandaar dit kaartje. Ingekleurd met Copics naar een sketch van Sketch Saturday. Ik vind het nog altijd een leuk stempeltje, hij is van Heltz Cuppelditch. Verder verschillende papiertjes die ik al lang heb dus geen idee van welk merk. Ik hoop dat ik op woensdag weer wat tijd heb om bij jullie langs te komen.

At the end of the weekend I managed to finish a card. It is way past my bedtime but I really wanted to show you this one. I have a busy week ahead with the annual schooltrip on Tuesday, a fun but tiring day. I hope the weather will be on our side and we keep ik dry.
this card is for a collegue who took a fall from the stairs and broke her ribs. She should be on the mend by now but kept feeling short of breath and now it turned out her lung was perforated so she is in hospital. The stamp is by Helz Cuppleditch and I coloured with Copics after a sketch by Sketch Saturday. I have no clue which brand the papers are, have had them for quite a while. I hope I can find time on Wednesday to visit all of your blogs.
