Little Miss Muffet Inspiration

Toen de nieuwe Paris release uitkwam en wij als DT leden de digi's toegemaild kregen was ik meteen zo helemaal weg van die ouderwetse victoriaanse jurken! Het zal allemaal wel heel onhandig geweest zijn, maar je voelt je toch een prinses als je zoiets aan heb?! Maar goed, het is ook wel een uitdaging om ze te kleuren, net even wat anders dan een Magnoliaatje. Deze heet Le Parfum des Roses en ik vind haar ook zo mooi.
When the new digi's for the Paris release were revealed I totally fell in love with these oldfashioned Victorian dresses. It was problably not very convenient but don't you think you would feel like a princess wearing these?! But it's also a challenge to colour, quite something different that colouring a Magnolia. This one is called Le Parfum des Roses and I just love her.

Ik had bij de Xenos een mini ladenkastje gekocht wat je dan zelf moet pimpen en dit is 'm geworden.
I bought a mini dresser which you have to pimp yourself and this is it.

De achtergrond komt van de Digi Doodle Shop en die vond ik er zo mooi bijpassen. Ik kan me helemaal voorstellen dat ze net voor haar spiegel haar haar heeft gedaan voordat ze uit zou gaan (ja, ik heb een levendige fantasie haha). Het ladenkastje is niet zo groot en daarom moet de digi ook vrij klein uitgeprint worden. Een gepriegel dus om in the kleuren en dan ook nog schaduw erin aanbrengen. Ben er een aardig tijdje mee bezig geweest hihi! De spiegel heb ik laten glanzen met glossy accents. Op de achtergrond heb ik een gestreept papiertje van K & Company Julianna gebruikt, ik vond het een beetje als behang overkomen. Ook het papier op de laadjes en de 'vloer' is van K & Company. De handdoek die bij de waskom ligt heb ik gepaperpieced met hetzelfde papier als de voorkant van de laadjes.
The background image is by Digi Doodle Shop and I thought it was a perfect match. I can just imagine she just sat at the dresser doing her hair before going out (I have a vivid imagination LOL). Nou the dresser is pretty small so the digi had to be printed out in a small size which made it pretty difficult to colour ánd make shadow as well. It took me quite a while! I used K & Company Julianna DP, a striped one in the background because I thought it looked a bit like wall paper. The towel next to the washing bowl was paperpieced with the same paper as the drawers.

Op de 'grond' ligt een kleedje waar ik ook het laadjes papier voor heb gebruikt. Ik heb de franje gemaakt van een papieren sierrandje dat ik ooit eens bij de Xenos had gekocht in meerdere kleurtjes.
On the floor is a rug also mede with the flower paper of the drawers; I made the frills on the edges with a paper edge I bought at the Xenos in several colours.

Little Miss Muffet Fancy or Lacy Challenge

Voordat ik begin met mijn kaartje wil ik graag nog even mijn nieuwe volgers Alyce, Erna, Jolanda, Yvonne en Trina hartelijk welkom heten. Het gaat zo hard op het moment met nieuwe volgers, echt super leuk!

Een nieuwe challenge bij Little Miss Muffet en wel Fancy or Lacy, oftewel Sjiek (dat is in het carnavalsdialect van Bergen op Zoom) en kant. Ik heb voor deze weer een Hatter gebruikt en in dit geval is dat Sophia Maria Hatter (je kunt haar hier vinden), jaja, het is een grote familie met allemaal zussen hihi! Ze is verkrijgbaar als digi maar ook als rubber stempel.
A new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet, Fancy or Lacy. I used another Hatter for this one and in this case it is Sophia Maria Hatter, (you can find her here) yes it's a large family and lots of sisters LOL! You can get her as a digi image but also in rubber.

Ik heb in dit geval gekozen voor een rechthoekige kaart van kraft cardstock met bijpassende envelop. De stijl van dit kaartje is heel vintage met een sterke Parijse sfeer; ik had ooit eens een stempelsheet gekocht met allemaal Franse nostalgische stempels erop en die had ik nog nooit gebruikt, maar nu met de Paris release kwamen ze dus heel goed van pas.
I chose to make an A5 card from kraft cardstock with matching envelope. The style of this card is vintage with a Parisian atmosphere. I once bought a stamp sheet with French nostalgic stamps which I never used before. But now with the Paris release they sure come in handy.

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van K & Company papier Ancestry, heel nostalgisch papier. Alles is flink gedistressed en ik heb op de achtergrond een hart doily gebruikt. De stansjes zijn van Marianne Design en ik heb van die gerolde roosjes gemaakt omdat de bloem op haar hoed ook op zo'n gerolde roos lijkt. Op de kaart heb ik in de rechter bovenhoek een Vintage corner stempel van LOTV gebruikt. Diezelfde stempel heb ik ook op de envelop gebruikt en aan de binnenkant van de kaart. Het hoedje kun je ook apart kopen. Ik vind dat zo leuk om te gebruiken zoals ik nu heb gedaan of bijv. aan de binnenkant van de kaart als klein accent. Het lint had ik al maar vind ik zo goed passen bij de sfeer van de kaart; ik heb het wel met Distress inkt Walnut stain een beetje 'vies' gemaakt.
I used K & Company Ancestry paper, very nostalgic. Gave everything a good distressing and used a heart doily in the background. The diecuts are Marianne Design and I made rolled roses because the rose on her hat looks like one too. I used the Vintage Corner stamp by LOTV in the right hand top corner of the card. That same stamp was used on the envelope together with the hat that you can buy separately as well as on the inside of the card. I love to use the hat like I did now on the envelope or on the inside of the card as a little accent. The ribbon is from my stash and I think is matches the card perfectly; I did use Distress Ink Walnut Stain to make it look extra old.

I coloured with Copics and gave her veil some Stickles Diamond Dust.

Hier nog een detail foto van één van de Parijse stempels. Ik heb de vorm getekend rondom een nestability en 'm met de hand uitgeknipt. De maat was nl. net te klein voor deze stempel en de eerst opvolgende was weer veel te groot. Dus heb ik rond de buitenkant afgetekend en dat was precies goed.
Here's a detail picture of one of the Paris stamps. I drew the shape around a nestability and cut it out by hand. The size was too small for the stamp and the next bigger one was way too big. So I drew around the outside and that was just perfect.

Zo meisjes, een berichtje met de uitslag van Beat the DJ: and the winner is ......... DJ Alvérez oftewel mijn schoonzoon Kevin wooohoooo!!!! En niet in de minste plaats door jullie steun dus bij deze hartstikke bedankt allemaal. Maar nu willen jullie natuurlijk weten wie de Sugar Nellie stempel heeft gewonnen. Ben vanmiddag bezig geweest om dat Random ding in mijn bericht te plaatsen en dat gaat op zich wel, maar dan kan iedereen die dat wil op de knop drukken en krijg je dus steeds een ander nummer; niet de bedoeling! Toen heb ik geprobeerd om op de knop te drukken terwijl hij in mijn sidebar staat en dan de afbeelding te kopiëren. Dat gaat wel maar dan krijg ik niet dat hele ding in beeld maar alleen de woorden en het getal, dus helaas meisjes, jullie zullen het ermee moeten doen. Ik heb een lijst gemaakt met de namen van iedereen en wie de link ook nog op haar blog had gezet dubbel. Grappig genoeg kom ik dan tot 49 nummers (i.p.v. de 51 berichten die ik had) omdat een paar mensen tussendoor nog berichtjes erop hadden gezet die verder niet meetelden. Maar goed, onderaan dit bericht zien jullie in ieder geval het resultaat met tromgeroffel hihi.......................................................................................

Voor dit kaartje heb twee van de 'Hatters' van Little Miss Muffet gebruikt. Ze zijn zowel als digi als in een rubber stempel te krijgen; de hoedjes kun je ook nog als aparte stempeltjes verkrijgen in een setje.
Ik heb voor deze kaart gewerkt met Distress inkt op aquarel papier omdat ik echt die vintage look wilde hebben. Het is een dubbele vouwkaart geworden. Aan de rechterkant heb ik een Martha Stewart pons gebruikt en in de klep heb ik twee eyelets gebruikt waardoorheen het lint voor de strik is geregen.
For this card I used the 'Hatters' by Little Miss Muffet. You can get them as digi images as well as in rubber; the hats can be bought separately in a set. I used Distress ink for this card because I wanted a vintage look. It is a double foldcard. On the right side I used a Martha Stewart punch and I put 2 eyelets in the flap in order to puts the ribbon through for the bow.

Dit is de binnenkant van de kaart. This is the inside of the card.

Dit is Wilma Kay Hatter; ze heeft een prachtige hoed op met allemaal bolletjes eronder. Die bolletjes heb ik gemaakt van hele kleine mini pompom bolletjes van Avec. Op haar hoed heb ik haar nog een mooie 'edelsteen' gegeven die overigens geel was voordat ik 'm met een Copic mooi lila kleurde.
This is Wilma Kay Hatter; she's got a lovely hat and under the rim there are all these little pompoms that I bought from Avec. On the hat is a gorgeous 'jewel' that was yellow before I coloured it lilac with a Copic marker.

En dit is Emily Rose Hatter, het zijn vast zussen hihi. Emily heeft natuurlijk ook een hoed, maar dan wel weer een hele andere. Dit is een soort zonnehoed (vind ik), met over de golvende rand een mooie voile met Stickles erop. En volgens mij zijn dat een soort pauwenveren bovenop.
And this is Emily Rose Hatter, I'm sure the're sisters LOL. Of course Emily has a hat too, but a totally different one. This is like a sunhat (I think), and over the wavy rim is some shine through organza with Stickles on. And I think on top there are some peacock feathers.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik links de hoedenstandaardjes gebruikt met daarop een kleinere versie van hoedjes van Wilma Kay Hatter en Emily Rose Hatter.
On the inside I used the wire hat stands with the smaller versions of Emily's and Wilma's hats in miniature version.

Framekaart Tilda zonder lijntjes en freebies/ Framecard Tilda without the lines and freebies.

Om te beginnen wil ik even mijn nieuwe volgers Elise en Rachel welkom heten en mijn DT Collega's van Little Miss Muffet.
Ik weet niet of jullie ze ook hebben gezien (vast wel), maar ik zag de laatste tijd overal van die Tilda's maar dan zonder de zwarte lijntjes. Het effect vond ik heel leuk, veel zachter, dus ik wilde dat ook eens proberen en dit is dus mijn eerste poging. Het is lastig kleuren, dat moet ik wel zeggen. Omdat je de zwarte lijntjes niet hebt, moet je veel meer contrast maken om te zorgen dat het stempeltje toch sprekend wordt.Ik heb haar met Copics gekleurd en ben er nog niet helemaal tevreden over, maar voor een eerste poging vond ik 'm wel ok.Ik heb weer eens de Magnolia heart swirl gebruikt, dat blijft toch één van mijn favoriete stansen.

To start with I would like to welcome my new follower Elise and Rachel, and of course my DT teamies of Little Miss Muffet.
I don't know about you girls, but I've been seeing a lot of Tilda's coloured without the black stamp lines. I loved the effect, much softer, so I wanted to try it, and this is my first attempt. Colouring is a lot more difficult, I must admit. You need a lot more contrast in order to make the image stand out because you don't have the black lines. I coloured her with Copics and I'm not entirely happy with her, but for a first attempt it's ok.I used the Magnolia heart swirl die again, which is one of my most favourite dies.

Als je de kaart gaat maken adviseer ik wel om voor het decoreren een smal strookje cardstock tegen de opstaande rand binnen in het lijstje aan te plakken; door het vouwwerk heeft de kaart anders in de hoekjes een open stukje en dat vind ik persoonlijk niet zo mooi. Rechts bovenaan kun je het zien als je goed kijkt. Should you want to make this model card, I would advise you before decorating that you put a strip of paper on the inside of the frame all the way around. If you don't you get openings in de corners (you can see one in the top right hand corner, and I don't like that. Sending Birthday Wishes, een mannenkaartje.

Dit blijft een heet hangijzer, mannenkaartjes, maar ik vond deze Little Miss Muffet digi wel heel erg leuk voor zo'n kaart. Hij hoort ook bij de Paris release en je zou 'm ook zo op een klein pleintje in Parijs kunnen zien spelen. Het papier van de kaart komt van de Action en dat 'scharnier' is van Tim Holtz en van grungeboard gemaakt. Het stempeltje is van Whimsey en hoort bij de grote postzegel stempels. Verder heb ik een Tim Holtz rozetje gemaakt en alles flink gedistressed.

This is always a problem, making guy cards, but this Little Miss Muffet digi is perfect for such a card. He's part of the Paris release and you could just find him playing in a quaint little square in Paris. The papers of this card are Action and the hinge is Tim Holtz Grungeboard. The stamp is by Whimsey and comes with the large postage stamps. I made a small Tim Holtz rosette and distressed everything.

Ik heb Tom gekleurd met Copics, een mooie slagschaduw op de grond gemaakt en ook rond de afbeelding schaduw gemaakt. De knoppen van de accordeon heb ik gemaakt met de Viva Perlen Pen.
I coloured Tom with Copics, made a nice shadow on the ground and around the image. I made the buttons of the accordeon with the Viva Perlen Pen.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik de briefkaart stempel van LOTV gebruikt waar een persoonlijke boodschap op kan worden geschreven. Ook aan de binnenkant heb ik zo'n scharnier geplaatst.
On the inside of the card I used the postcard stamp by LOTV where a personal message can be written. I also used a Tim Holtz hinge.

Tenslotte nog even een detail opname van het scharnier met de Crackle Paint erop en de koperen brads.
Last but not east a detail picture of the hinge with the Crackle Paint and the copper brads.

So here's my card and I used the image called La Jeune Fille à Eventail by Little Miss Muffet, even her name sounds romantic! You can get her as a digi image as well as in rubber! I made an easelcard because I wanted to use that gorgeous Make it Crafty background and that wouldn't leave much room for embellishments and an easel card solves that problem. I used one paper from K & Company Ancestry and the Yellow paper with the roses is one from my stash, brand unknown.

I coloured the LMM image with Copics because I wanted the pleats to really show en the image to stand out, but the background I did on Cotmans Aquarelpaper and coloured with Distress inks to give it that soft vintage look which I find very hard to achieve with Copics. I made the windows look glossy with a clear embossing powder and in the corners I stamped with a vintage background stamp to add to the vintage look of the card.

Here's a little detail picture to show the pretty gem I gave that little lady, and the pearls I added to her fan.

In the foreground I used a Cheery Lynn swirl leaf die with some flowers and Cheery Lynn Butterflies that sparkle with Diamond Stickles.

And just look at that stunning chipboard shape from Make it Crafty, have you ever seen such intricate cutting? They have an entire range of those that are all stunning, and the sentiment inside is by Whimsey. They have come up with matching Die cuts for these sentiments in case you haven't got the chippies from Make it Crafty.

Sorry dames dat ik op het moment zo weinig langs kom, maar ik heb het dus DRUK DRUK DRUK!!!

Waarom ik het zo druk heb zal komende week duidelijk worden, en ik beloof het allemaal weer met jullie goed te maken. Intussen wil ik jullie nóg een keer uitnodigen om toch vooral te gaan kijken op het Three Companies Blog omdat je er een gewèldige prijs kunt winnen en ik weet zeker dat jullie allemaal versteld zullen staan van hetgeen hier staat te gebeuren...... Ik ben er wel blij mee, met hoe dit kaartje is geworden. Een lieve LMM digi van de laatste release, ze heet Macie, en Basic Grey papier Porcelain. De kleuren combineren prachtig vind ik, dat diepe grijs, perzik, groen en geeltinten, echt een mooie combinatie.
I'm pretty happy with this one, a darling LMM digi from the last release called Macie and Basic Grey Porcelain papers. I love the way those colours combine, that deep grey, the soft salmon, green and yellows go so well together.

Ik heb weer met Copics gekleurd en haar een parelketting gegeven met de Viva Pearl pen.
I coloured with Copics again and gave here a pearl necklace with the Viva Pearl Pen.

Flink wat met bloemetjes gestrooid, hoe vinden jullie die mooie witte?? Kreeg vandaag een envelopje van Margo met wie ik een swap heb afgesproken en daar zaten ook deze prachtige bloemen bij. Opgelucht?? Ja hoor, deze is echt weer wel van papier. Heb vandaag voor het eerst een wiebelkaart gemaakt met dank aan José die op haar blog liet zien hoe ze voorkomt dat hij door het gewicht uit elkaar schuift. Een Magnoliaatje en wat een dotje is dit. Magnolia Doohickey heart swirls (met dank aan mijn zus van wie overigens ook dit schattige stempeltje is), kant, bloemen, verbandgaas, vlindertje, kortom, weer heel wat versieringen.
Releaved?? Yep, this one is made of paper again. I made this wobbly card today for the first time, thanks to José who showed met on her blog how to make sure it doesn't slide open due to it's own weight. A Magnolia and isn't she sweet? Magnolia Doohickey heart swirls (thanks to my sister who actually also owns the Magnolia stamp too). Some lace, flowers, some gauze, a butterfly, in short, lots of embellies!

Gekleurd met Copics en op haar broek heb ik met de witte Souflé pen allemaal stipjes gezet, vond het wel een leuk effect. Ik heb geprobeerd Tilda een soort van neusbrug te geven, had dat op verschillende blogs gezien, ben benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden.
I coloured with Copics and made little white dots with a white Souflé pen, I kinda like the effect.

Ik had al eens verteld dat ik ook patchwork en quilt en nu wil het toeval dat in mij nieuwe DT team Peggy ook een quilter is. Natuurlijk wilde zij foto's zien (en ik had het Stacy al eeuwen beloofd) en dus heb ik net even een paar quiltjes gefotografeerd, dus even een hele andere kant van mijzelf. De eerste is ook mijn eerste quiltje, gemaakt voor mijn dochter en redelijk versleten; een speelkleed dat dus ook echt gebruikt is. Het is een zgn. log cabin met op de kruising een ster. Het centrale vierkant is een stukje uit een stofje met een schattig beertje erop. Deze is met de naaimachine gemaakt.
Now I told you once that I make patchwork and quilts and Peggy, my new DT mate on Little Miss Muffet is also a quilter and she wanted pictures (and I promised Stacy ages ago) so I just made some pictures and here the are. The first one is also my very first quilt made for my daughter when she was born to play on. It's pretty worn out, faded and stained but so precious. It's a log cabin with stars between the blocks. In the center is a square cut from a fabric with the cutest little bears on. This one was made with the sewing machine.

De 2e is een mini quiltje, hij meet maar 50 x 50 cm. Dat betekent dus ook dat de stukjes die erin zitten ienie mienie klein zijn; een vierkantje is maar 2 x 2 cm. Een heel gepiel dus om alle kruisingen precies op elkaar te krijgen. Hij is helemaal met de hand gemaakt en ook met de hand doorgequilt. Je maakt een soort sandwich van drie lagen, de voorkant, fiberfill ertussen en de achterkant en daar maak je met een rijgsteekje een patroontje in. De laatste foto geeft een detailopname en laat zien hoe klein deze rijgsteekjes zijn. De kunst is om de steekjes helemaal door en door te laten gaan en dat vergt heel wat oefening. Voor dit quiltje heb ik een copie stof gebruikt van een antieke stof uit het Smithsonian museum in Amerika.

The last picture is e detail of the quilting, also hand done. The stitching on this one is very smal and it took me 6 months to make. I used a copy of an antique fabric from the Smithsonian for this one.

Er zitten 5.602 stukjes in haar quilt die ze maakte in oorlogstijd terwijl haar man aan het front vocht. Op zichzelf teruggeworpen, zonder verder inkomen is het een raadsel hoe ze aan alle stofjes voor haar quilt kwam. Ieder blokje is met een andere stof gemaakt en niet één blokje heeft hetzelfde patroon. De blokjes zijn 11,5 cm. en in haar quilt zaten er 149. Daarnaast aan de randen maakte ze driehoeken, ook allemaal verschillend. Hieronder een afbeelding.

The last quilt is one that is under construction LOL, a so called 'Dear Jane' quilt. Jane Stickle lived in America from 1817-1896 and made her quilt in 1868 during war time. It's hanging in the Smithsonian Museum in the US. There are 5.602 pieces in her quilt. It is a riddle how she has come by all the material for this quilt, being alone (husband fighting in the war) and no money. Each block has a different fabric and not one block with the same pattern. Prachtig hè?! Mijn quilt is stukken kleiner, ik heb er een aantal blokjes uit gekopieerd uit een boek waarin ze allemaal staan weergegeven. De schrijfster 'correspondeert' met Jane alsof ze nog leeft waardoor het ook een leesboek is. Heel bijzonder. Ik heb zoveel mogelijk geprobeerd antiek ogende stofjes te gebruiken en de originele maten aangehouden (11,5 cm. voor een blokje). Ik heb de blokjes afgewisseld met een zandloper blokje. Ook deze quilt is helemaal met de hand gemaakt.
Isn't it gorgeous?! My quilt is much smaller, I copied some blocks from a book in which all the patterns are printed out. The author of the book writes letters to Jane as though she were still alive, which also makes it sort of like a novel. It's very special. I tried using antique looking materials and maintained the original size for the blocks which is 4,5 Inch or 11,5 cm. I combined the blacks with an alternating block to create a pattern in the quilt , so it looks quite different from the original. This quilt was also entirely handmade.

Valentines & Love challenge at Little Miss Muffet!!

Jawel, hoe kan het ook anders, het is bijna Valentijnsdag, en ik heb Hooch gebruikt van de laatste release van Little Miss Muffet. De kaart heeft natuurlijk veel rood en veel hartjes erop want zo hoort dat met Valentijn kaarten. Het papier had ik al en heb ik al eerder voor een valentijn project gebruikt.
Yep, not surprises here, it's almost Valentines Day, and I have used Hooch, one of the lovely digi's of the last release of Little Miss Muffet. The card has a lot of red and lots of hearts because that is Valentines Day.

Achter het ponsrandje heb ik dubbelzijdig tape geplakt en vervolgens heb ik er Flower Soft Ultra Fine op gestrooid. De gehaakte bloemetjes heb ik gekocht bij Xenos en het doily hart heeft héél véél Stickles gekregen. Hooch is ingekleurd met Copics.
I put some doublesided tape behind the punched heart edge and then put some Flower Soft Ultra Fine on it. The crochet flowers were bought at Xenos and the doily heart has lots of Stickles on. Hooch was coloured with Copics.

De strik van Hooch is gepaperpieced en het gestanste hart heeft allemaal pareltjes met de Viva Parelpen gekregen.
Hooches bow was paperpieced and the diecut heart has loads of pearls made with the Viva Pearl Pen.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik hetzelfde hart gebruikt met een uitspraak, een sleutel bedeltje. Hooch heb ik overgetrokken op Krimpy Dinky en uitgestanst met een scallop nestability en vervolgens ..... gekrompen hihi! Zo kan de ontvanger 'm als sleutelhanger gebruiken. Hieronder nog een close upje.

On the inside I used the same diecut heart with a sentiment and a little metal key. I drew Hooch on Shrinky Dinkie and cut it out with a scalloped nestability and then ...... I shrank him LOL!! The receiver of the card can use him as a key chain. Here's a little close up.

Ik wil eerst eens even mijn nieuwe volgers welkom heten. Ik heb er zo ongemerkt de laatste tijd heel wat bijgekregen zodat ik hard op weg ben naar de 300. Hoor ik al candy papiertjes kraken hihi!!!
Deze zien jullie niet zo vaak bij mij op het blog, een House Mouse kaartje. Het stempelafdrukje heb ik al een eeuwigheid liggen en ooit eens van iemand gekregen. Aanleiding was dat ik eerder deze week aan de blog hop had meegedaan en daar zoveel van die schattige stempeltjes zag dat ik toch geïnspireerd raakte. Qua uiterlijk lijkt het een beetje op een valentijnskaartje, maar omdat ik dat nooit gebruik heb ik er toch maar een verjaardagskaartje van gemaakt. Het is voor mijn doen een vrij simpel kaartje, maar ik vind 'm toch heel vrolijk en gezellig geworden. Ik moet wel zeggen, ik snap nu wel die CAS (clean and simple) kaarten makers, wat scheelt dát een tijd zeg hihi!!

First of all I would like to welcome my new followers, I love it that so many of you lovely crafters want to have a peek now and again on my blog. I'm steadily heading for 300 followers so I think I can hear candy wrappers knispering ;-)
You don't see a House Mouse card that often on my blog. I have had this image for ages and the reason I pulled it out was that I joined in on the blog hop at the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog, and I got so inspired by all those adorable stamps that I dug it out. On first glance it might look a little like a Valentinecard, but since Valentinesday isn't that big in the Netherlands, I decided to make it into a birthdaycard. It is quite a simple card but I quite like the effect. It's turned into a very cheerful fresh looking card. I must say though, that this makes me get the CAS (clean and simple) cardmakers a lot better, boy does this save a lot of time compared to my usual style LOL!!

Ik heb dit schatje ingekleurd met Derwent potloden en vervolgens uitgestanst met een nestability.
I coloured this little darling with Derwent pencils and then used a nestability to cut it out.

Met wat glitterhartjes laat ik 'm extra verliefd kijken ;) Ik heb het lint opgeplakt en een stukje tape er tussenuit gelaten. Daar heb ik een extra stukje lint onderdoor geschoven en een strik om het geplakte lint gemaakt. Verder mijn nieuwe Whimsey poststempeltje gebruik, leuk omdat ze relatief klein zijn.
With some glitterhearts I made him look a little in love ;) I used double sided tape for the ribbon and left a bit of tape out where I put an extra piece of ribbon underneath in order to make a bow. And I used my new Whimsey postmark stamp, the're nice and small, very convenient.

Zo, nu weer eens een ander kaartje dan Little Miss Muffet, hoewel ik moet zeggen dat ik erg verslingerd aan het raken ben aan deze digi's. Ze zijn zo leuk, er komen nog véél leukere aan en ik vind het zooo moeilijk om mijn mond te houden haha! Maar goed, op dit kaartje heb ik mijn allernieuwste stempels van Lily of the Valley gebruikt. Jullie snappen er nu denk ik niks meer van, maar ik heb deze week een transparante sheet gekocht met schitterende vintage hoekstempels van LOTV, die verkopen ze nl. ook en ze zijn werkelijk schitterend! Daarnaast heb ik ook de vintage postcard bij ze gekocht en die zien jullie zo ook voorbij komen!
Right, this time another card for a change, I must admit I am kinda hooked on the LMM digi's, the're soo cute and there are a few to come that are even cuter and incredibly romantic, it's all sooo exciting and I am not allowed to say anything which is pretty hard for me LOL!! Anyhow, I used my brandnew LOTV stamps on this card. You're probably at a loss right now, but I bought a sheet of transparant Vintage Corner stamps and the Vintage Postcard at LOTV and I think the're just brilliant! Have a look!

Ik heb een keer een embossingmal gebruikt voor de cirkelachtergrond, doe ik niet zo vaal maar ik vind het hier toch wel leuk staan met die cirkels. Tilda had ik al ingekleurd in de zomervakantie met Derwent potloden. De zelfgemaakte bloem linksonder heb ik met een Marianne stans gemaakt en die aan de binnenkant ook (komt straks). Ik heb papier uit een oud boek gebruikt zowel voor de bloem als bovenaan achter het hart.

Hier even een detailfoto van één van mijn nieuwe Vintage Corner stempels, vinden jullie 'm niet schitterend?!

En tenslotte nog een fotootje van de binnenkant van de kaart. Ook hier heb ik het DP doorgestikt en flink gedistressed. De vintage postcard heb ik hier op kraft gestempeld en die is te gebruiken om een persoonlijke boodschap op te schrijven. Ben benieuwd naar jullie mening, die waardeer ik altijd enorm.
Last but not least a picture of the inside of my card. Like the outside I did some stitching and lots of distressing and I stamped the Vintage Postcard which can be used to write a personal message on.

Voordat ik op zoek ga naar challenges moet ik jullie nog even deze meesterwerkjes van mijn dochter Kyra laten zien, en deze gaan niet op de post maar zijn om op te eten hoewel het bijna zonde is haha!!
Before I'm off to find some challenges, I have to show you these little masterpieces my daughter Kyra made; these don't get sent off in the mail but are for eating, although it is almost a shame to eat them, the're so pretty!

Voor mijn kaart heb ik Vanilla gebruikt, vooral omdat ik nog heel leuk papier had liggen dat precies paste bij haar pyjamaatje. Het is een verjaardagskaart geworden. Langs de randen heb ik met een zwarte fineliner stiksteekjes gemaakt.

I used Vanilla for my card, especially because I had this paper that perfectly matched her little pyjama's. I made it into a birthdaycard, which I think will also serve for a childs birthday. I made some faux stitching around the edges with a black fineliner.

Ik heb haar gekleurd met Derwent potloden, ik heb gewoon nog niet de goede kleuren in Copics. In het haar heb ik wel Copics gebruikt om een beetje meer diepte en structuur aan te brengen, dat lukt toch minder met alleen maar potloden. Het ovaaltje is met een Nellie's Choice stans gemaakt en ik heb een zijden lintje erdoor geregen. Op de schulpjes heb ik een pareltje gemaakt met de parelpen.
I coloured her with Derwent pencils, I just don't have the proper colours in Copics (yet). I did use some Copics in her hair in order to get some more definition, because with pencils I find it a lot harder to do so.

Verder hebt ik weer flink met bloemen gestrooid en haar pantoffeltjes hebben weer pompommetjes gekregen, deze keer gemaakt met Flower Soft Ultra Fine.
I used quite a few flowers again and her slipper have little pompoms that I made with Ultra Fine Flower Soft.

Tenslotte heb ik ook de binnenkant versierd met hetzelfde papier gemat op geel. De felicitatie heb ik gestempeld op een ovaal ook gestanst met een stans van Nellie's Choice.
And I also decorated the inside with the same paper. The sentiment was stamped on an oval shape that I also cut out with a Nellie's Choice die.

Tenslotte ga ik nog even op zoek naar leuke challenges waar deze in past.

Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blue & Cream

Het is zover, de nieuwste LMM challenge (link hierboven) en dus.....mijn tweede LMM kaartje. Ben er best een beetje trots op (bloos). De digi die ik gebruikt heb heet Sarah, en als ik nu naar buiten kijk heeft Sarah het best bekeken; lekker met een boek en een warme kop chocolademelk (mèt marsmellows!) in je schommelstoel, mmm.. Het is een trapkaart geworden en behalve Sarah heb ik ook de snoepdoos van Magnolia gebruikt. Verder heel veel stansjes en heel veel bloemetjes en lintjes en dew drops, kortom, ik heb zo'n beetje alles uit de kast getrokken haha!!
It is time for the nest LMM challenge (the image is the link) so here is my second LMM card. I'm quite proud of this one (blush). The digi I used is named Sarah, and looking outside at the weather, Sarah sure looks comfy in her rockingchair with her book and hot chocolate (with marshmellows!) It's a stepcard and apart from Sarah I used the Magnolia sweet box. I added loads of die cuts, lots of flowers, some ribbon and some dew drops, in short, I used just about everything LOL!!

Ik heb gekleurd met Copics (nrs. onderaan dit bericht). De achtergrond van het papier waar ik op kleur is erg wit, en omdat ik dat niet mooi vond heb ik de hele achtergrond gekleurd met E50 zodat het een mooie crème kleur heeft. Ze heeft het de parelpen èchte marshmellows in haar chocomelk gekregen. Rondom het uitgesneden ovaal heb ik wat goudkleurige Stickles aangebracht.
Ik coloured with Copics (nrs. at the end of this post). The paper I coloured on is white, but I didn't like that so I coloured the entire background with E50 to give it a cream colour. With the pearl pen I added marshmellow to her hot chocolate and I added goldcoloured Stickles round the oval of the image.

Even een foto van haar slippertjes, met van die pluizige pompommetjes erop gemaakt met Flower Soft, geinig hè?!
I couldn't resist adding an extra picture of her slippers; I gave them tiny pompoms, aren't they cute?

Ik heb de afbeelding gemat op lichtblauw cardstock en dat vervolgens zo opgeplakt dat ik er een Magnolia label onder kon schuiven.
I put the image on blue cardstock and glued it in such a way that I could slide a Magnolia tag underneath.

Voorop nog wat roosjeslint en Wild Orchids roosjes; op de Magnolia snoepdoos een 'echte' strik met een brad in het midden. Op het Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog vind je de kaarten die mijn DT collega's hebben gemaakt dus ga even kijken en doe ook gezellig mee!

In the front I added some rosed ribbon, some Wild Orchids roses and some more die cuts. The Magnolia candy box got a proper bow with a pearl brad in the middle. Lekker zitten knutselen met mijn zus vanavond en één kaartje af en één in de maak, maar die kan ik pas donderdag laten zien want die is voor de nieuwe challenge van Little Miss Muffet. Maar deze kan ik wel laten zien, een lief LOTV stempeltje en het is een ezelkaartje geworden. Het papier is van Bo Bunny, Gabrielle, en ik vind het zo mooi dat het bijna zonde is om er iets overheen te plakken. Er zit daarom voor mijn doen niet zo heel veel op.
Had a wonderful crafting evening with my sister and finished one card and have one in the making, but I can't show you that one till Thursday cause its for the next Little Miss Muffet challenge. But I can show you this one, such a sweet LOTV stamp that I used on an easelcard. The paper is Bo Bunny , Gabrielle, and I think it's so pretty it's a shamy to put a lot of embelishments on. So I was a good girl and kept it reasonably simple.

Ik heb gekleurd met Copics maar heb dat van de zomer al gedaan dus....geen idee van de kleuren, sorry!
Het mooie bandje dat onder het plaatje doorloopt heb ik tijdens de Magnolia Event bij Paper & Pictures gekocht en vond ik er wel heel mooi bij passen.

Ik heb veel gewerkt met gestanste bloemetjes, mijn allernieuwste van Magnolia. De bloem zelf is niet zo bijzonder, maar als je 'm dan met Distress Inkt bewerkt en eigenlijk de blaadjes 'knakt' wordt 'ie ineens erg mooi vind ik; nog een klein roosje in het middens omdat het meisje ook roosjes vast heeft en klaar is Kees (en ik ook haha)! De vlindertjes zijn natuurlijk weer Cheery Lynn en hebben pareltjes gekregen en glitter. Het hart is een onderdeel van het grote Cheery Lynn hart en heb ik van mijn lieftallige zus Annika gekregen. Ben benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden! Ik ga op zoek naar challenges!!
I made a lot of diecut flowers using my brandnew Magnolia die. Now the flowers aren't that special but if you use some Distress Ink and fold them they get some texture and I think the're gorgeous! I put a little rose in the middle because the little girl is holding roses too. The heart is a part of the large Cheery Lynn heart and my sister gave me that one, I don't have it myself. So, I'm curious what you think of this one. I'm off looking for challenges!

Mijn eerste Little Miss Muffet DT kaartje! My first Little Miss Muffet DT card!

Ohhh ik vind het zooo leuk, mijn eerste LMM DT kaartje. Voor deze criss cross card heb ik Bailey gebruikt, is ze niet schattig?? Ik vind dat haar helemaal geweldig! Ik heb weer het Blink of an Eye papier van My Minds Eye gebruikt, ik vind het zo'n mooie kleurcombinatie. De ovale stans is een Marianne Design Craftable en de oranjebruine 'vleugel' stans is Een Marianne Design Creatable. Het kraftrandje is gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons.Ik heb wat doorgestikt op de naaimachine en alles is gedistressed met Walnut Stain.

Ow I'm so excited, my very first LMM DT card. I used Bailey for this criss cross card, isn't she cute?? I used the Blink of an Eye paper by My Minds Eye again, I just love that colour combination. Rechtsonder heb ik een bloemarrangementje gemaakt; de vlinder en de blaadjes zijn Cheery Lynn stansjes.
On the bottom right I made a flower arrangement; the butterfly and the leaves are Cheery Lynn dies.

Binnenin de kaart zit nog een kaartje waar je een persoonlijke boodschap op kunt schrijven. Ik heb bovenaan een soort etiket stansje gebruikt (weet niet welk merk) alsof het een soort scharniertje is die met een brad is vastgezet.
On the inside is a card to write a personal message on. At the top I used a diecut as a fake hinge attached with a brad.

Zo zeg, twee berichten op één dag, dat is me wat!! Dit kaartje moest er echt even op want ik wil natuurlijk nog wel meedoen aan de Kenny K. challenge en die sluit over 3 uurtjes. Deze keer ook met een gloednieuwe Kenny K. digi hoor Heidy haha! Rondom heb ik met de Sew Easy van mijn zus gaatjes geprikt en geborduurd. Wat een heidens karwei zeg, pff, dat ga ik niet snel nog eens doen.
That is two posts in one day, my oh my!! But this card had to be posted cause I want to join the challenge at Kenny K.'s and it closes in three hours. This time I actually have a brandnew Kenny K. image in it LOL! I used the Sew Easy to punch the holes around the card but oh my what a job! I don't think I will be doing that any time soon again!

Mijn 'Cool Dude' is ingekleurd met Copics. / My 'Cool Dude' was coloured with Copics.

De eerste twee letters van 'Cool Dude' zijn gemaakt met Type Charms van Tim Holtz, ja ik heb nu de smaak te pakken, ook die had ik nog liggen. De onderkant is metaal, daar gaat een letter sticker op en dan een epoxy bolletje. De rest van de woorden heb ik met watervaste stift geschreven op een paar verfstrepen gemaakt met acrylverf.
The first two letters of 'Dool Dude' were made with Type Charms by Tim Holtz, oh yes, I've really got a taste for his stuff now, and these were lying next to the rest of his stuff. The're metal with a letter sticker on top and an epoxy stickuer to top that. The rest of the words were made with a permanent marker on two stripes of acryllic paint.

Bovenaan een vlaggetjeslijn gemaakt met een stans van Crealies waar ik 'Party!' op heb gestempeld.
On the top of the card a line with the word 'Party!' stamped on.

Het clipboard heb ik gestanst met een Sizzix stans die ik al een eeuwigheid heb. Hij past dus gewoon door de Cuttlebug en stanst ook door chipboard, helemaal super. Ik heb de clip en het potloodje wat glossy accents gegeven om het te laten glimmen en het schrijfbord zelf heb ik blauw geverfd met acrylverf. Happy Birthday is met zwart embossing poeder gestempeld.
Now the clipboard on the inside was made with an Original Sissix die which I have had for ages. I found out on the Internet that you can actually use those in the Cuttlebug and that they will cut through chipboard so I tried it out and it works like a charm. I gave the clip of the board and the pencil some Glossy Accents to make them shine and painted the board itself with Acryllic paint to make it a matching blue. Happy Birthday was stamped with black embossing powder.

Een kaartje dat meteen een bestemming heeft, voor mijn 'schoonzoon' Kevin, de vriend van mijn dochter die op oudejaarsdag in zijn eerste flatje is getrokken. Ik had er geen stempel voor dus heb een digi aangeschaft bij de Paper Shelter, echt een dotje. Ik heb de klokstans van Tim Holtz uit kraft gestanst en mijn nieuwe Cheery Lynn swirl stans in bruin eroverheen gezet.
A card made for my 'son in law' Kevin, my daughter's boyfriend who moved into his first appartment on newyearsday. I didn't have an apropriate stamp so I bought a sweet digi from The Paper Shelter. I coloured with Copics and because it is a 'menscard' I used brown colours. I used the clock die by Tim Holtz from kraft and used my new Cheery Lynn swirl die too.

Ingekleurd met Copics en omdat het een 'mannenkaart' moest worden een beetje stoere bruine kleuren gebruikt. Het papier heb ik een keer in een candy gewonnen en ik heb geen idee welk merk het is.
I coloured with Copics and since it was a 'mencard' I used lots of browns in order not to make it too sweet. I won the DP in a candy once but I have no idea what brand it it.

Ik heb al een jaar doosjes met Tim Holtz dingetjes liggen die ik gewonnen heb in een candy van Stacy, maar pak ze nooit tot nu dus. Ik heb zowel aan de buitenkant als aan de binnenkant een ticket gebruikt, die aan de binnenkant heeft geen tekst erop en is groter, daar heb ik wat op geprint. Die speld is ook T.H., hij heeft aan de bovenkant een soort ringetje waar je iets in kunt klemmen.
I've had some Tim Holtz stuff for a long time, I won them in a candy by Stacy (thanks sweetie), but hadn't used them till now (blush). But now that I see how great they look the're gonna be coming out a lot more! I used a smal ticket on the outside and a large one on the inside of the card. The pin is also T.H. and has this little round thingy on top where you can put a piece of paper in.

En die gecrackeleerde vogel op mijn babykaart vond ik zo leuk dat ik er nog een gemaakt hebt. Op die vorige kaart vanwege de vogelhuisjes op het papier en hier, ja, omdat het een vogelhuisje is natuurlijk hihi!

En tenslotte nog een foto van de binnenkant van de kaart. Die heb ik in dezelfde stijl gedaan, ook met een Cheery Lynn swirl stans maar nu in turkoise en een grotere ticket van Mr. T.H. maar nu heb ik er een tekst met de computer opgeprint. Ik heb ook de rest van de klok (nee die loopt niet door onder de afbeelding) aan de binnenkant gebruikt. Zo hoef je 'm maar 1 keer te stansen, oh oh wat ben ik toch slim haha!
And then a picture of the inside of the card. Used the same style as the outside with the rest of the clock that's on the outside of the card and another Cheery Lynn swirl diecut in turqoise. I printed a Dutch text on the large T.H. ticket and translated it says: 'The clock ticks at home as it ticks nowhere else', which is a Dutch saying meaning that your home is the best place in the world.

Tenslotte nog een foto van de gebruikte Copics, het zijn er nogal wat deze keer. And last but not least a piccie of the Copics I used.

Nu weer even op challenge jacht haha, ik vind er toch altijd een boel hoor, vind het wel een sport waar ik normaal de tijd niet voor heb.

"It's a girl!!" shaker kaart.

Tijd om weer eens iets nieuws uit te proberen, een shaker kaart. Gelatine gekocht, ik had geen idee dat je dat ook voor iets anders dan pudding kunt gebruiken haha, en aan de slag. De Magnolia baby gestempeld en ingekleurd met Copics. Vervolgens maar eens zoeken op You Tube voor een tutorial, nou er stonden er best een paar op, jemig zeg!! Ik zag er één met een randje chipboard dat je op zijn zijkant moet plakken maar dat leek me lastig, en iemand die allemaal 3D blokjes gedraaid tegen elkaar aan plakte in een cirkel of ovaal maar dat leek me nogal een klus en bovendien kan daar natuurlijk iets tussendoor 'lekken'. De handigste vond ik die met het 3D tape dat je kleine knipjes moet geven waardoor je 'm rond kunt plakken. Kan niet lekken en niet zoveel werk, en het ging inderdaad prima. Ik heb gekozen om er zilverkleurige micro beads in te doen, een soort héle kleine knikkertjes. Het papier is van Basic Grey Porcelain.
Time to try out something new, a shaker card. I bought gelatine, I had no idea you could use that for something else than making jello LOL!! I stamped the Magnolia baby and coloured her with Copics. Then I looked on You Tube for tutorials on shaker cards, my are there a lot of those. I picked the one that suited me best which was using 3D tape which you give tiny cuts with scissors so you can shape it in a round, or in my case oval shape. Worked like a charm and doesn't leak. I chose to put silver micro beads inside. Het papier is van Basic Grey, Porcelain.

Ik heb een chipboard vogeltje van Maya Road eerst donkerbruin geverfd met acrylverf en vervolgens bewerkt met Tattered Rose Crackle Paint. Op die manier komen de crackles mooi uit.
I painted a chipboard bird by Maya Road darkbrown and then used Tattered Rose Crackle Paint. That way you can really see the crackles because of the dark background.

Aan de binnenkant zit eigenlijk het schud gedeelte. Ik heb er kant omheen geplakt en een lintje om gestrikt. Ook dit papier is van hetzelfde papierblokje. Ik heb ook aan de binnenkant een bloem arrangement gemaakt vergelijkbaar met de buitenkant.
On the inside is the shaker part. I put some lace around it and tied a ribbon round the oval. The paper is also from Basic Grey Porcelain. I made a flower arrangement like the one on the front of the card.

Het linker hart op de voorkant is een stempel en ik heb het met glitter embossing poeder bewerkt. Het rechterhart heb ik uitgeknipt met het linkerhart als mal en vervolgens heb ik de tekst erop gestempeld en met zwart embossing poeder bewerkt en de rand met Stickles bewerkt. De bloemen hebben een randje met stickles gekregen.
The left heart on the fron of the card is a stamp and I used glitter embossing powder. The right heart was cut out and I stamped the sentiment using black embossing powder and used Stickles on the edge. I also used Stickles on the edges of the flowers.

Goeiemorgen melkboer!! Goodmorning milkman!!

Het is echt járen geleden dat wij nog een melkboer hadden, ik kan me dat uit mijn jeugd wel herinneren. Die kwam twee keer per week voorbij, en in de zomer kondigde de papegaai van de buren 'm altijd aan: 't Is de melkboer 't is de melkboer!!' riep dat beest dan. Maar zulke melkpakjes als deze waren er niet (helemaal nog niet trouwens want alles zat in melkflessen hihi). Het roosjes papier is van de Action en ik heb voor de andere 2 zijden wit cardstock geëmbossed en vervolgens met Distress Inkt Victorian Velvet en een blending tool beinkt. Trouwens, kijk eens goed naar de foto's, gemaakt met mijn kerstcadeau, de Canon EOS 550!!! Ik ben nog aan het studeren hoor, dus ze kunnen ongetwijfeld nog beter, maar ik ben er zooo blij mee.
It's been years since we had a milkman, but I can remember him from my childhood. He used to come by twice a week, and in the summer the parrot of our neighbours would announce him: 'It's the milkman'it's the milkman!'he would scream. But they didn't have milkcartons like these yet (come to think of it, non at all cause the milk was still in bottles at the time LOL). Anyhow, the paper is Action and on the other two sides I used white cardstock which I embossed and then used a blending tool with Distrees Ink Victorian Velvet. By the way, have a good look at the pictures, aren't they fabulous? Mafe with my Christmas present, a brandnew Canon EOS 550!! I'm still studying how to use it so the pictures can probably be better still, but I am so over the moon with it.

Tilda heb ik weer eens lekker zitten aquarellen met Distress Inkt, ook hier vnl. Victorian Velvet gebruikt en de accenten met Aged Mahogany. De schoentjes met Antique Linnen, Frayed Burlap en Walnut Stain, het haar met Brushed Corduroy, Tea Die en Walnut Stain. De hartjes heb ik eerst Spun Sugar gegeven en vervolgens met de Quicky Glue pen en ultra fijne glitter bewerkt, zo ook de rushes van haar jurkje.
I coloured Tilda with Distress inks, used mostly Victorian Velvet and did the accents with Aged Mahogany. I did the shoes with Antique Linnen, Frayed Burlap and Walnut stain, the hair with Brushed Corduroy, Tea Die and Walnut Stain. I gave the hearts some Spun Sugar and then used the Quicky Glue pen and Ultra fine glitter, and also the frills on her dress.

Verder nog wat Cheery Lynn vlindertjes toegevoegd, een Doohickey bloem, roosjes en blaadjes gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons. Aan één kant heb ik een Whimsey Ticket die toegevoegd met een 'Thank you' wens.
Then I added some Cheery Lynn butterflies, a Doohickey flower, roses and leaves made with a Martha Stewart punch. On one side I added a Whimsey Ticket with a 'Thank you' sentiment.

Geen kerstkaart en 'Het geheim van het kerstcadeautje'. Not a Christmas card and 'The secret of the Christmas present'.

Nou is dat geen pakkende titel?? Het zou zo maar een boektitel kunnen zijn! Maar nee, het gebeurde gewoon bij mij thuis. Met kerst trekken wij en de kinderen nl. altijd lootjes, zo ook dit jaar. We spreken een bedrag af en mailen verlanglijstjes rond, en naar keuze moet er of één surprise, of één gedicht bij worden gemaakt. Ik kreeg super leuke dingen, uiteraard knutsel spullen, maar ook zo'n super leuke kop en schotel van Blond Amsterdam. Zo ver niets aan de hand, tot ik vandaag mijn zus Annika sprak. 'En, hoe vond je mijn pakje onder de boom?' vroeg ze. 'Ehhh', zei ik..... En ze begint te láchen!! 'Dat vind je toch leuk, Blond Amsterdam?' 'Huh, was die van jou????' vroeg ik? Wat blijkt, ze was vrijdag voor de kerst even aan de deur geweest maar wij waren weg. Nu heeft mijn buurvrouw de sleutel dus die zijn gewoon naar binnen gegaan en heeft ze zonder wat te zeggen dat pakje onder de boom gelegd. Nou en tijdens het uitpakken zei ook niemand iets, want degene die mij had getrokken dacht dat het waarschijnlijk een extraatje van mijn man was en mijn man dacht gewoon dat het van degene was die mij had getrokken haha!! Wat een giller hè?! En wat een schat hè, die zus van me ;)
Catchy title right? You'd think is was a booktitle, but no, it happened right in my house. The fact is that we always draw names, we set an amount to be spent and mail our wishing lists around. Now I got lots of nice presents amongst which a lovely coffee cup. I assumed the one who had my name bought it for me until my sister Annika phoned me yesterday and said: 'Did you like my Christmas present?' And I went, 'eehhhhm.......' It turned out she was at my house Friday before Christmas but I wasn't in, so she got the key from my neighbour and put this present under the tree. Nobody said anything because my husband thought the one who got my name put it there and the one who did get my name thought it was a present from my husband for me LOL!

Maar goed, tijd voor mijn nieuwe kaart en eindelijk geen kerstkaart. Ik vind deze Tilda echt zo geweldig, heel schattig en toch stoer met die hoed. Papier is van My Mind's Eye en heet Blink of an eye. Ik heb nogal wat foto's van de kaart om het model goed te laten zien dus hou je vast haha!
Right, time for my new card and finally no Chirstmas card. I love this Tilda, she's cute and cool with that hat. The paper is My Mind's Eye and called Blink of an eye. I took quite some pictures to show off the model of the card so bear with me.

Die postzegel stempel met bijpassende die van Whimsey was een kerstcadeautje, gloednieuw dus en Tilda ook. Ik heb Tilda ingekleurd met Copics en verkleind op de computer en in een cirkel gezet.
The postage stamp with matching die by Whimsey was a Christmas present so it's brandnew and so was Tilda! I coloured Tilda with Copics and put her on the computer to reduce her size and printed her in a circle.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik nog een Magnolia label gestanst met een lintje erdoor waar ik een bedel aan vast heb genaaid.
On the inside of the card I added a Magnolia Doohickey tag with a ribbon and a charm attached to the ribbon.

En zo ziet de kaart eruit als hij gewoon open ligt.

Hallo allemaal, hebben we de kerstdagen overleefd?? Jongens wat is dat toch vermoeiend hè?! Ik was helemaal total loss!! Vanmorgen dan ook heerlijk eerst lang uitgeslapen. Ik had dit projectje nog van de Magnolia dag in november. Het was nog niet helemaal af, maar nu kan ik het wel laten zien. Het is een bureaustandaard en twee kanten. Je kunt 'm vullen met memoblaadjes maar ook leuk om receptjes op te schrijven en te verzamelen. De stempeltjes heb ik ingekleurd met Derwent en het was nog een hele klus om de juiste kleur te krijgen; het papier Snowfall van Bo Bunny is weliswaar prachtig, maar het is geen blauw, en geen grijs en ook geen groen... Ik heb dan ook meerdere kleuren moeten mengen om een beetje in de buurt te komen. Het stempeltje met de slinger kregen we gestempeld en wel maar die met de sneeuwvlok was de speciale stempel die je krijgt op het Event en is dus gloedjenieuw; leuk hè?!
Hi everyone, have we survived Christmas this year?? I think it is so tiring, I was exhausted after two days of eating!! So this morning I had a good long sleep. Todays project I started at the Magnolia Event in November, but I hadn't come round to finishing it. It has two sides and a pen holder, and is meant to use with memo papers and cards to write down favourite (Christmas) recipes. The paper is Bo Bunny Snowfall which is gorgeous, but the colour is quite difficult to find. I used Derwent pencils and used several colours to get to the right colour. I hope you like this one! The image of Tilda with the garland was provided at the Event and the other one with the snowflake was a special stamp that you receive at the Event and is brandnew!

Op de slinger en de sokjes heb ik Stickles aangebracht. De sneeuwvlokjes heb ik met een heel oud ponsje gemaakt en in het midden van ieder sneeuwvlokje zit een pareltje.
On the socks and guirlande I added some Stickles. The small snowflakes were made with a really ancient punch and I put a small pearls on each one.

Ja ja, dat dacht ik ook, maar dat valt nog niet mee zeg..... Ik heb denk ik wel vier keer kaarten gewisseld; deze....ehhhh, nee toch maar deze.....ehhhh, ok dan die maar haha! Maar goed, leuk om mee te doen dus ga even bij haar kijken!

Toen ik gisteren op het Magnolia inspiratie blog keer kwam ik op het blog van Tanja en zij had een hartstikke leuke tutorial om een kerstster te maken. Ik vond 'm zo leuk dat ik meteen aan de slag ben gegaan en dit is het resultaat.
When I visited the Magnolia Inspiration blog yesterday I came on to Tanja's blog and she had this lovely tutorial of a Christmas star. I liked it so much that I went for it and made one straight away, and here's the result!

De ster zelf is van Kraft Cardstock gemaakt. Ik heb het patroon met carbon overgenomen, dat moet je aan de binnenkant houden want het vlekt wel vind ik. Voordat ik de ster in elkaar heb geplakt heb ik 'm bestempeld met mini sneeuwsterren en goud embossing poeder. De randen heb ik beinkt met Walnut Stain. De kleine houten sterretjes heb ik er als laatste opgeplakt. Bovenin de ster zit een uitsparing; ik heb de lintjes om 'm op te hangen door een kraal geregen en die houdt de boel aan de binnenkant op zijn plaats.
The star was made from Kraft Cardstock. I copied the pattern with carbon copying paper, but you have to keep that side for the inside cause it really stains. Before I put the star together I stamped mini snowflakes on and embossed with gold embossing powder. I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain. The tiny wooden stars were added when the entire star was finished. There is a small round opening at the top of the star; I used a bead through wich I put the ribbons and that keeps everything in place.

Ik heb Tilda gekleurd met Copics, en haar muts en pompom met Aleen's True Snow bewerkt. Zo'n mini Tilda is zo klein dat het moeilijk is detail te behouden met Flower Soft wat meestal mijn favoriete medium is.
I coloured TIlda with Copics and put some Alleen's true Snow on her hat and pompom. A mini Tilda is so small that it is hard to keep the detail when using Flower Soft which is normally my favourite medium.

Op de achterkant heb ik deze tekststempel gebruikt op Kraft Cardstock met zwart embossing poeder, die zo goed bij het papier paste, alsof hij ervoor gemaakt was. Het papier is overigens van het Kruidvat en de sterretjes zijn van glitter gemaakt. On the backside of the star I used a sentiment stamp on Kraft Cardstock with black embossing powder which matched the paper as if it was made for it. Even een kort berichtje; heb vandaag mijn hobbykamer eens een goede opruimbeurt gegeven. Met al die kerstkaarten maken was het echt een zooitje geworden, overal glitter en restjes! Maar ik heb nog wel wat van die snelle kerstkaartjes gemaakt, ook in een ander kleurtje, dus die wil ik jullie nog even laten zien. Ik hoef er niet veel meer bij te vertellen want dat had ik in het vorige berichtje al gedaan. Nog één weekje en dan is het kerstvakantie, ben er zooooo aan toe!! Groetjes, Frea
Just a short post; did a good clean up in my craft room which was nescesary after weeks and weeks of making Christmas cards; glitters and left overs everywhere! Hoi hoi, deze kaartjes heb ik vanavond zitten maken. Ze zijn niet zo groot en ook niet zo bewerkelijk, maar ik vind ze wel leuk geworden. Ik heb er mini Magnolia's voor gebruikt die ik heb ingekleurd met Copics en bewerkt met Stickles en Flower Soft. Op de kaart zelf heb ik een Whimsey stempel gebruikt die ik met embossingpoeder heb bewerkt. De kerstboom van deze stempel zegt zelf al Merry Christmas dus je hoeft verder geen tekststempel meer te gebruiken.
Hi everyone, these cards I made tonight. The're quite small in size and not very complicated but I do like the result. I used mini Magnolia's which I coloured with Copics and used some Stickles and Flower Soft to add some interest. On the card I used a Whimsey stamp with embossing powder. The Christmas tree on this stamp is a Christmas sentiment at the same time so no separate sentiment is nescesary.

Op deze onderste foto kun je de kerstboomstempel goed zien. Hieronder volgen nog wat detailfoto's van die schattige Tilda's.

En nu moet ik toch even deze foto's laten zien; ik vind ze zoooooo schattig! En het zijn ook zulke sukkeltjes, ze laten echt alles toe hihi!!

Pffff, wat een drukke tijd, maar toch eindelijk weer een kaartje en géén kerstkaart haha!!

Helaas is één van mijn collega's langdurig ziek en dan is een kaartje natuurlijk wel op zijn plaats. Het is natuurlijk weer mijn ouwe trouwe Helz Cuppleditz hond maar weer in een totaal ander jasje. Een gedraaide ezelkaart deze keer. Het papier is van K & Company en heet Julianne. Mooie zachte blauwgrijze en groentinten.De layout is van Sketch Saturday. rechts op de kaart zit een randje gemaakt met een stans van Cheery Lynn. De parels zijn gemaakt met een Viva Pearl pen. Links op de kaart heb ik nog een Cheery Lynn vlindertje geplaatst.
Unfortunately one of my collegues is ill and I think it's always nice to send a get well card. Of course it's my old faithfull Helz Cuppleditz doggie. The DP is K & Company named Julianne. Pretty bluegrey and green colours. The layout is a sketch by Sketch Saturday. On the right is a lace trim made with a Cheery Lynn die. The pearls are made with a Viva pearl pen. On the left I placed a Cheery Lynn butterfly.

Ik heb diverse bloemen van Wild Orchids gebruikt, maar de grote bloem heb ik gemaakt met tissuepapier. Ik heb 9 lagen geponst met een bloemenpons. Vervolgens een brad in het midden en bespoten met Glimmer Mist. Dan heb ik kleine stukjes blauw kant geknipt die ik tussen de blaadjes heb geplakt en meeldraadjes. Tenslotte heb ik op de randjes nog wat Stickles Waterfall gedaan.
I used several Wild Orchids flowers, but the large flower I made myself with tissuepaper. I punched 9 layers with a flower punch and put a brad in the middle. Then I sprayed the flower with Glimmer Mist and added pieces of blue lace and stems. And finally I added some Stickles Waterfall on the edges.

Hallo allemaal, hopelijk hebben jullie gisteravond allemaal een geweldige Sinterklaas avond gehad. Ik had in de klas een super gezellige dag waarbij we een soort alternatieve 'Ik hou van Holland' quiz hebben gespeeld, in dit geval de 'Ik hou van Sinterklaas' quiz. Het was super leuk, de sfeer was zo leuk en de kinderen hebben een geweldige dag gehad, en ik dus ook!!

Zoals beloofd blogvriendinnetjes, is het tijd voor CANDY voor mijn volgers!!! Maar deze keer ga ik het wel PROFESSIONEEL aanpakken haha!! Ik heb zo'n linky ding bemachtigd, en ik heb ook al zo'n random ding op mijn site geplaatst die ik kan gebruiken voor het trekken van de winnaar, dus dat gaat dan ook helemaal automatisch. Nou zijn jullie natuurlijk super nieuwsgierig wat ik er deze keer allemaal in heb zitten, maar ik ga natuurlijk niet alles in één keer verklappen hihi!! I managed to get one of those linky thingies, and I also have one of those random thigies to draw the winner, so that will go entirely automatically. And I added a packet of blue stitched ribbon, a packet of rick rack ribbon and a box of blue and green chipboard letters, and edition of Cards Only and two packets of cardboard tags with matching ribbons, and there is more to come...

Morgen is mijn mannetje jarig en al jaren is het steeds een drama om een verjaardagscadeau voor hem te bedenken. Hij heeft alles al zegt 'ie, en daar sta je dan.... Nou is hij een hobbykok en hij kookt graag bijzondere dingen voor vrienden. Daar komt vaak heel wat voorbereiding bij kijken vooral in de vorm van snijden, dus toen 'ie laatst zat te zappen (jawel, ik heb een standaard model dat gewoon zapt haha!!), kwam in het voorbijgaan zo'n tell sell advertentie in beeld over een snijmachientje (geen electrische) dat 'm heel handig leek, en van de week schoot dat me ineens weer te binnen. Veel te laat natuurlijk want dat ding is nooit voor morgen binnen dus moest ik er iets op verzinnen, en dat is het volgende geworden.
It's my hubbies birthday tomorrow and as always I was having a hard time coming up with a nice present for him. He always says he's got everything he wants. Now the other day he was watching tell sell on TV and they had this slicing machine with which you can chop just about everything. Since he loves to cook but hates peeling onions and cutting veggies he loved it! Last Wednesday I suddenly remembered that and ordered him one, too late of course, it will never arrive before tomorrow, so I had to find a way to give him the present anyhow and this is it.

Het doosje was een kaasdoosje en ik heb een digi van Karen's Doodles gekocht. Op de digi stond één hond en ik ben dus aan het digitale goochelen geslagen om er een tweede hondje bij te krijgen want wij hebben twee Cavalier King Charles hondjes, Tommie en Oscar, die er dus ook ongeveer zo uitzien als op deze digi. Ik heb de digi ingekleurd met Copics maar bij gebrek aan tijd geen foto van de nrs, sorry....
The box was a cheesebox and I bought one of Karen's Doodles digis. Now there was one dog on this digi and we have two, so I digitally added a 2nd dog and coloured them exactly the way our Tommie and Oscar look. Aren't they cute?? I coloured with Copics but was in a hurry so no piccie of the nrs., sorry...

Binnenin een verjaardagskaartje, een beetje simpel gehouden met mannelijke kleuren, maar ik vond dat een klein Cheery Lynn vlindertje wel kon. Ik heb trouwens pas de angel wings erbij gekocht, ideaal, hiermee kun je een achtergrond kleurtje uitstansen dat je erachter kunt plakken.
On the inside a birthdaycard, kept it simple in masculine colours, but I thought a little Cheery Lynn butterfly wouldn't hurt. I recently bought the angel wings that go with those butterflies, love the effect.

En tenslotte aan de binnenkant een foto van het eigenlijke verjaardagscadeau dat dus nog binnen moet komen. Een totaal andere kleur, maar ja, zo ziet dat ding er nu eenmaal uit haha!!
And finally on the inside a picture of the actual birthdaypresent, which is not going to be present LOL!! A totally different colour but that is what the thing looks like so there you have it LOL!!

Nou is er nog één ding dat ik even wilde laten zien, maar dat is lastig te fotograferen want het zit aan de 4 zijkanten van het doosje. Mijn man heeft in onze onvolprezen kasteelweekvakanties van de afgelopen 13 jaar de bijnaam: Big Chief Sitting Target gekregen. Vraag me niet wie die ooit verzonnen heeft, maar zo is het wel haha!! Now there's one thing I need to show you, but is difficult to fotograph cause it's on all 4 sides of the box. You may know that in the summer we have our holiday with a large group of people going to a castle in France, have done so for the past 13 years. My hubby was given this nickname (don't know by whom), Big Chief Sitting Target, so for this occasion I changed it to Big Chief Cooking Target and put one word on each side of the box. Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor een oud collegaatje van mijn vorige school dat pas is getrouwd. Ik wilde een anders dan anders trouwkaartje voor haar maken omdat ze ook anders dan anders getrouwd is nl. op de 11de van de 11de (hier in Brabant een belangrijke datum voor carnaval) en in haar carnavals outfit. De digi is van Mo Manning en het papier van Prima.
This card I made for a former collegue who recently married. I wanted to do a 'different' card for her, since she married in a 'different' manner. She married on the 11th of the 11th 2011 which is a special day since it is the start of the carnaval season. She actually married in her carnaval outfit. The digi is by Mo Manning and the paper is Prima.

Ik heb ingekleurd met Copics, de foto staat onder de stempel. De ingekleurde digi is op een achtergrond van turqoise cardstock geplakt die ik heb uitgestanst met een scallopped nestability. In alle schulpjes heb ik een gaatje geponst waarna ik er met fijn katoen en een haaknaald nr. 1,5 een randje omheen heb gehaakt.
I coloured with Copics (nrs. under the next picture). The digi was set on a background cut out with a scallopped nestie from turqoise cardstock. I made holes in all the scallops and made a crocheted edge with a very fine needle (1,5).

De bloem is ook van Prima en op de randen heb ik wat glitter toegevoegd. Ook rond het hartje met de uitspraak, die ik op de computer heb geprint, heb ik glitter aangebracht.
The flower is also Prima which I pimped with a little glitter. I also added some glitter around the sentiment which I printed on the computer.

Tenslotte heb ik de binnenkant deze keer ook weer een beetje versierd met een papiertje uit hetzelfde blokje als waar de voorkant uit komt.
And last but not least I decorated the inside with a piece of paper from the same block as the front of the card.

En dan is hier nog de laatste update van de candy. Hij moest deze keer op een aparte foto, ik kreeg het allemaal niet meer op één foto, dus vandaar. Het zijn vier stickervellen en een dubbel vel met chipboard alfabets, één in bruintint en één in vrolijk gekleurde tinten (die je niet kunt zien omdat hij aan de achterkant van de bruine set zit). And here's the last update of my candy. I had to put it in a separate picture, I couldn't get it all in one picture anymore. There are four sticker sets and one set of cardboard alfabets consisting of a brown alfabet and a brightly coloured one which you cant see since it is in the back of the brown one. Hallootjes, weinig teken van leven de afgelopen week van mij. Een druk weekje achter de rug en volgende week wordt niet veel beter ben ik bang met oudersgesprekken etc. Maar goed, vanavond heb ik lekker met Annika geknutseld en mijn Magnolia doosjes boekje van de Magnolia Event is klaar. Ik heb 'm wel een beetje verder gepimpt, want hoe leuk 'ie ook is, ik vond 'm een beetje kaal toen 'ie klaar was.
Hi guys, very little signs of life this last week. Had a busy week and next week is nog going to be much better. Anyhow, had a nice craft night with Annika and I managed to finish the box book I started at the Magnolia Event.

Dit is de voorkant; ik heb bovenin een gestanst hoekje toegevoegd met wat strass steentjes, een label met een tekststempeltje en onderaan een paar vilten sneeuwsterren met zilveren glitters erop.
This is the front of the book; at the top I made a corner with a Sizzlits die and a sentiment cut out with a die. At the bottom some felt snowflakes with silver glitter.

Het geopende boekje met de doosjes. Er zitten acht doosjes van verschillende maten in. Leuk om kleine cadeautjes in te doen. Voor een kind zou het boekje leuk zijn om voor een verjaardag te maken zodat ze af kunnen tellen tot hun verjaardag, iedere dag een doosje open.
This is the opened book with the boxes. There are eight boxes in different sizes in the book. It's nice to put small gifts in like jewelry. If you make the book for a child it would be nice to give the box a week before the birthday, so the child can open a box every day.

Behalve de doosjes zitten er nu twee bladen in waarop je bijvoorbeeld kerstrecepten of zo kunt schrijven. Het spreekt voor zich dat er meer bladen in passen. Als je een verjaardagsdoosje maakt zou je van iedere verjaardag een paar foto's in kunnen plakken het boekje groeit dan.
Except for the boxes there are now two pages in the book f.i. for recepies. Of course you can make lots more pages. When it's for a childs birthday you could add some pictures every year, that way the book will 'grow'.

Het lastigste was om de juiste kleur te vinden om deze lieve Tilda in te kleuren. Het gebruikte papier is prachtig, maar het is geen groen, en het is geen grijs en ook geen blauw, pfffff. Uiteindelijk ben ik uitgekomen op een combinatie van Distress Bundled Sage en Pumice Stone. Wel heel lastig verwerken want het papier was niet gemaakt voor water gebruik. Maar ook de Derwents werkten niet prettig erop. Geen idee wat ze hebben gebruikt maar fijn was het niet.
The most difficult part was to find the proper colours. The DP they offered with the workshop was lovely, but it wasn't green, wasn't grey, wasn't blue, hmph!!! In the end I used Distress Ink Bundled Sage and Pumice stone, but is was very hard to use since the paper wasn't suited for use of water.

Uiteindelijk ben ik er nu wel happy mee, ik vind het een heel grappig 'boek doosje' geworden. Morgen kijk ik nog of er misschien een challenge is waar hij in zou passen. Hieronder volgt nog een nieuwe foto van de candy en natuurlijk heb ik weer het e.e.a. toegevoegd. Weltrusten allemaal, Frea

Deze keer heb ik toegevoegd een heel mooi kerstpapier blokje in lila en grijstinten en een complete embossing/prik set compleet met twee diktes prikpennen, prikmatje en papier. Hopelijk vinden jullie het leuk.
This time I added a lovely Christmas paper pad in lilac and grey and a complete embossing and embroidery set complete with two sizes pens, mat and paper. Sure hope you like it.

Hallootjes, hebben jullie me gemist van het weekend??? Ben bij niemand langs geweest want ik was gisteren op de Magnolia Event, aansluitend lekker uit eten en als klap op de vuurpijl heerlijk zwijmelen bij de nieuwe film uit de Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn. Vandaag visite gehad, dus te druk! Maar het was wel super gezellig. Mijn projectjes zijn nog niet af, dus daar moeten jullie nog even op wachten, maar ik heb wel een paar foto's van de event en... een nieuwe foto van de candy onderaan deze post.Als jullie de foto af en toe willen verversen dan zou dat wel leuk zijn, zo kunnen jullie volgers ook zien waar de candy uit bestaat en komen ze misschien ook een kijkje nemen.
Hi there, did you miss me this weekend??? Haven't been round to visit y'all cause yesterday I was at the Magnolia Event after which we went out for dinner and last but not least, I saw the latest Twilight mivie Breaking Dawn, sigh....... Hallootjes allemaal, een kaartje en, onderaan dit bericht, een nieuwe sneek peek van de candy. Een uitbreiding op de eerdere foto, dus, pas de foto op jullie blog aan zodat iedereen kan zien wat er tot dusverre in deze candy zit! Maar eerst mijn nieuwe kaart; weer even iets heel anders, een schets van de Sugar Bowl met natuurlijk een Sugar Nellie stempeltje. Het is een patchwork achtige schets, vandaar ook mijn stikwerk erop. Het papier is van Memorybox en het papier rechtsboven en linksonder heeft zo'n rood spikkeltje dat erg lijkt op de combinatie in haar paraplu.
Hi everyone, a card and, at the bottom of this post, a new sneek peek of my candy. There is a little more to see on this picture, so, put this new one on your blogs so everyone can see what is up for grabs so far, and there is more to come!!! But first my new card, a sketch challenge on the Sugar Bowl with a Sugar Nellie stamp. It's a skechts that reminds me of patchwork, hence the stitching. The DP is Memorybox and the paper on the top right and bottom left has this little red dot which looks like the pattern in the umbrella.

Ik heb deze in de zomervakantie gekleurd in een combinatie van Copics en Derwent omdat ik toen nog niet zoveel Copics had en niet de goede kleur kon bereiken voor de broek. Op het label zit een klokje gemaakt met goudkleurige wax en een zegelstempel. De kerststerren zijn van Wild Orchids, de besjes Magnolia.
Ik coloured this one in the summer holiday with Copics and Derwent; I didn't have the proper colour Copics for the pants at the time. On the label is a little clock made with wax and a seal stamp. The pointsettia are Wild Orchids and the berries Magnolia.

Lekker op dreef, een kerstkaartje voor de groen/blauw challenge van Sir Stampalot naar een schets van Christmas Challenges.

Een kaartje met een stempelafdrukje dat ik van Laura heb gekregen. Is het geen schatje?! En het stempeltje is natuurlijk ook hartstikke leuk ;)!! Ben benieuwd wat jullie van de kleurcombinatie vinden; ik zou er zelf namelijk niet zomaar zijn opgekomen, maar gek genoeg als je dan zoiets probeert is het eigenlijk toch wel leuk. De schets was vrij ingewikkeld met veel stukjes papier, dus ik heb verder niet zo heel veel versieringen gebruikt, ik vond het zo al druk genoeg. Ik heb wel bijna alle papiertjes doorgestikt met de naaimachine en met Distress Walnut Stain bewerkt.
A card with a stamped image from Laura, isn't she a darling?! And the image is cute too ;)!! I wonder what you think of this colour combination. I wouldn't have picked it myself, but now that I see it I quite like the effect. De sketch by Christmas Challenges was pretty complicated so I didn't add too many embellies.I did use the sewing machine on most of the papers and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain.

De kerstster is deze keer lekker afwijkend blauw'ik heb na het embossen met een goudkleurig stempelkussen erover heen gewreven waardoor de bloem wat sprekender werd. De sterretjes onderaan de kaart zijn van Tim Holtz grungeboard dat ik eerst blauw heb geverfd met acrylverf en vervolgens ook met het goudkleurig stempelkussen heb bewerkt. Ook de randen van de basiskaart heb ik met dit stempelkussen bewerkt zodat er een goudkleurig randje rond loopt. Het hart van de bloem met Stickles bewerkt voor de nodige glitter.
I made the pointsettia blue this time and after embossing I used a gold inkpad to make the embossing stand out more. I used the same inkpad on the edges of the basic card to give it a gold edge. De stars at the bottom of the card are Tim Holtz grungeboard that I painted blue and then rubbed with the gold inkpad as well.

Tilda is ingekleurd met Copics (de nrs. staan op de foto onderaan). De randjes van haar jurkje, de muts en de pompom heb ik met Flower Soft Polar White bewerkt (ben er bijna doorheen dus moet nodig nieuwe kopen).
Tilda was coloured with Copics (you can find the numbers at the bottom of this post). I gave the edges of her dress, hat and the pompom some Flower soft Polar White (which is almost all gone, I need to buy me some more).

De binnenkant heb ik ook versierd in dezelfde stijl als de buitenkant. Ik heb hier weer wat verbandgaas bij gebruikt.
I decorated the inside in the same style as the outside of the card and used some gauze here.

WEEKEND!!!! Woohoo, and a get well card for Donna.

Hallo blogvriendinnetjes!! Ik wil jullie eerst eens even bedanken voor alle leuke reactie op Thea's tasje! Dat vind ik toch zo geweldig dat iedereen dan zo massaal reageert, super leuk voor Thea! Morgen zal ik mijn nieuwe candy op mijn blog posten, dus houd het in de gaten. Vandaag een kaartje en wel voor Donna van Bearly Mine. Zij heeft een nare ziekte te pakken die je kunt krijgen na een virale infectie (in haar geval een gewoon griepje). Het heet Guilliane Barre Syndrome en het zorgt ervoor dat je gevoelloosheid in handen en voeten krijgt en een evenwichtstoornis. Het kan zelfs blijvende schade aanrichten dus het is nog afwachten hoe dit afloopt. Een kaartje vond ik dus wel op zijn plaats en dit is 'm geworden. Voor beterschapskaartjes heb ik eigenlijk maar één toepasselijk stempel, dus jullie zien dan ook steeds deze hond van Heltz Cuppleditz voorbij komen haha!!!
Hello my lovely blogfriends!! First of all I want to thank you for all the sweet comments on Thea's gift purse. I love that everybody takes the trouble to leave some love, it's so nice for Thea! Tomorrow I will be posting a new candy on my blog so keep an eye out. Now I will show you a card I made for Donna of Bearly Mine. She has this nasty thing called Guilliane Bar Syndrome, something you can get after a viral infection. It can cause permanent damage, and gives numbness in hands and feet and disturbs your feeling of balance (it makes you walk wobbly as she calls it LOL!!) Anyway, I wanted to send her a card and this is it!! I actually only own one stamp suited for get well cards and it's this dog by Helz Cuppleditz so you keep seeing this one pop on by LOL!

Ik heb veel gesitressed zoals jullie zien. De basiskaart is van kraft papier en ook achter het stempeltje zit kraft. De stempel is gekleurd met Copics, het papier is van de Action, en de swirl weet ik niet welk merk die is.
Lots of distressing as you can see. I used kraft paper again for the basic card en behind the image. I coloured with Copics again. The paper is by Action and the swirl is one I've also had for a love time and I can't for the life of me remember the brand, sorry...

Het hart is 1 van 4 stanzen van een Sizzlits setje dat ik al een eeuwigheid heb. De blaadjes zijn van een Crealies stansje en ik vind het erg handig dat daarop de blaadjes in drie maten staan.
The white leaves are a Crealies die which holds both leaves each in 3 different sizes which is very convenient en the heart is one of 4 Sizzlits dies I had for ages.

Ik voel een candy opkomen en Happy Birthday

Volgens mij heb ik ergens in mei/juni een candy gedaan; het is bijna Sinterklaas, en daarna ook nog kerst, dus het wordt weer eens tijd voor een candy denk ik. Het zal wel van het weekend worden voordat ik hem plaats want ik wil ook nog even uitzoeken hoe zo'n Linky ding werkt, dat vind ik toch handiger dan nummeren met reacties, dat werkte niet echt goed. Ik heb al wel zo'n Random ding geplaatst op mijn blog dus ik kan al wel Random een nummer trekken, knap van mij hè?! Dus houd het in de gaten dames!
Deze kaart had ik voor Mieke gemaakt voor haar verjaardag. Het is een stempel van Karen's Doodles gekocht bij Doe@Ding.
I think it is about time for a candy again since the last one was in May/June. It's almost Christmas (and Sinterklaas on Dec. 5th in the Netherlands) so that's a good enough reason. It won't be until the weekend because I want to find out how one of those Linky thingies works. I didn't like the way it worked last time with numbering the comments.
This card was made for Mieke's birthday. It is a stamp by Karen's Doodles bought at Doe@Ding.

Die leuke lantaarnpalen zijn nieuwe stansen van Cheery Lynn waar ik helemaal weg van was. De twee maten zorgen ervoor dat je diepte kunt creëren door ze achter elkaar te plakken. Leuk hè?! Die swirl stans is van Magnolia en mocht ik even lenen van mijn lieve zus!! De roosjes had ik al liggen en ik weet niet meer waar ik die gekocht heb maar ze zijn wel enig. Het papier is weer van Maja, blijft leuk en de achtergrondkaart van kraft papier.
The lampposts are Cheery Lynn dies and I like the depth you can create by putting the smaller size beside the larger one. Love them! The swirl die is Magnolia and I lent it from my sweet sister. I had the rose ribbon for a while, can't remember where I bought that. Paper is by Maja again, basic card from kraft paper.

Dit is de binnenkant, simpel maar wel leuk vond ik.

This is the inside of the card, simple but sweet.

Ik heb ingekleurd met Copics, heb per ongeluk de foto van de kleuren weggegooid :(. Haar boa heb ik met twee soorten Flower Soft gepimpt. De wieldoppen, de R op de motorkap en het rooster voorop de auto heb ik met zilverkleurig embossing poeder versierd. Het windscherm heeft glossy accent gekregen zodat het op glas lijkt.
I coloured with Copics, but I accidentally threw away the picture of the colours. I did her boa with Flower Soft. The hubcaps, the R on the hood of the car and the front are done wilt silver embossing powder. I gave the windscreen of the car glossy accent to make it look like glass.

Druk weekend en Santa's coming to town

Druk maar gezellig weekend gehad, dus jullie hebben me nauwelijks voorbij zien komen. Maar ik kom deze week weer bij jullie buurten hoor!! Heb nog wel een kaartje te laten zien, één met een Karen's Doodles Stempel die ik op de laatste demodag van Doe@Ding heb gescoord. De sketch is van het Karen's Doodles Nederlands Challenge blog. Ik heb gekleurd met Derwent op Kraft papier. Het papier is van Basic Grey. Veel gedistressed en een kerster toegevoegd en verder heb ik de kart eigenlijk vrij eenvoudig gehouden. Ik vind deze stempel eigenlijk al zo'n compleet plaatje geven dat ik niet teveel afleiding wilde plaatsen.

Ik zie dat het kraft papier een beetje lijkt te glimmen op de foto. Zal morgen proberen een wat betere te plaatsen. Hieronder nog een detailfoto van het ingekleurde stempeltje. Ik vind zelf vooral de glimmende kandelaar goed gelukt. Het stempel had ik afgedrukt met Stazon Timber Brown, maar gek genoeg begon deze inkt in de brief hier en daar roze-achtig door te lopen (terwijl ik kleurde dus, want ik blend niet op kraft papier). Had ik nog nooit gehad, iemand hier ook ervaring mee??

Een 'nieuw' modelletje, dat ik zal op het Nederlandse Kaarten Uitdaging blog. Ik vond het zo'n leuk idee en heb 'm dus ook gemaakt. Het stempeltje heb ik op de laatste demodag van Doe@Ding gekocht bij de workshop van Monique Lokhorst. Het papier is van een blok Tilda papier; je moet voor dit model dubbelzijdig papier gebruiken. De zilveren swirl heb ik bij de Action gekocht. De glittersteentjes zaten daar ook bij. Alles is gedistressed met Distress Inkt Walnut Stain. De hartjes zijn uitgesneden met een Nellie Snellen stans en het vlindertje is weer een Cheery Lynn.
A 'new' model that I saw on the Nederlandse Kaarten Uitdaging blog . I liked it so much I decided to make one. I bought this lovely Magnolia stamp on the last Demo day at Doe@Ding when doing the workshop with Monique Lokhorst. The paper is Tilda because you need to use double sided paper for this one. I bought the silver swirl at Action and the rhinestones came with it. The hearts are made with a Nellie Snellen die and the butterfly is ofcourse Cheery Lynn.

Ik heb Tilda ingekleurd met Derwent potloden. De hartjes op haar schoot heb ik wat glitter gegeven met een Spica pen en met Stickles. Ik heb haar op een zachtroze achtergrond gezet gesneden met een nestabillity .
I coloured Tilda with Derwent pencils. I have the hearts on her lap with a Spica pen and some Stickles. I used a nestability to cut a light pink circle for her to sit on.

Lili of the Valley heeft op een moment een challenge met een schets van Bev Rochester en ik had nog een ingekleurd kerststempeltje liggen dus die keuze was snel gemaakt.
Lili of the Valley had a challenge with a sketch by Bev Rochester and I had a coloured Christmas image of LOTV lying about so the choice was easy.

Ik heb het stempeltje ingekleurd met Copics in de zomervakantie en als ik er nu naar kijk denk ik dat ik wel wat beter ben geworden, maar ik kan niks weggooien dus we moeten het er maar mee doen.

I coloured the image with Copics in the summer holiday, and when I look at it now I think in meanwhile I got a little better at it, but I can't throw anything away, so here it is.

Ik ben lekker in de weer geweest met allerlei bloemetjes en takjes gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons. Die gouden hartjes in de bloemetjes heb ik vorig jaar van een kerstversiering in een kerststukje afgeknipt, leuk hè?!
I've been throwing flowers left and right on this card and made the branches with a Martha Stewart punch. The golden flower centers were in a Christmas ornament from last year which I cut apart, don't they look great?!

Ik heb ook voor het eerst zo'n verbandgaasje gebruikt, ik zie ze overal en vind ze zo leuk! Tenslotte heb ik ook de binnenkant versierd, nou ja, een beetje dan hihi!
I used some gauze for the first time, been seeing them all over the place and love them! Last but not least decorated the inside, well, a little anyhow LOL!

Donderdagavond nog lekker een avondje genutseld met Annika, en zij bracht taartpunten mee waar je niet dik van wordt, van karton. Ze had ze geknutseld uit de Magnolia Chocolate Dreams van alweer een tijdje terug en dacht dat het misschien wel leuk was om die te pimpen. Nou, dat was best wel leuk, en het resultaat kunnen jullie hieronder zien. Onderaan nog een foto van de 'Gezusters Taart' samen hihi!
On Thursday evening Annika and I did a bit of crafting and she brought some cakes that don't make you fat, made out of cardstoc. She made them out of the Magnolia Ink Chocolate Dreams and thought it might be nice to pimp them, which it was. Here are the results and way at the bottom of this post a picture of the 'Cake Sisters' LOL!!

Dat leuke papier had ze dus ook bij zich en mocht ik gebruiken voor mijn taartje want ik vond het zooo leuk, dus XXX daarvoor. Rondom het hart heb ik parels gemaakt met de Viva Pen, de vlinder is natuurlijk weer van Cheery Lynn, een strik met een metalen brad op de knoop en die leuke zig zag dingetjes zijn van Marianne Design. She also brought this lovely paper with her and gave that to me to use for my cake cause I liked it sooo much, so big mwoahh for that sweetie. Around the heart I made pearls with the Viva Pearl maker, the butterfly is Cheery Lynn and I made a bow with a metal brad on top. The cute zig zag thingies are Marianne Design.

Op de achterkant van de taart heb ik hetzelde papier gebruik als aan de zijkanten maar ik heb het gedraaid zodat de randen van boven naar beneden lopen.
On the back of the cake I used the same paper as I did for the sides but then turned it. The doily edge under the lid is a Magnolia Doohickey.

Tilda is van de Yummy for my Tummy collectie en ik ben lang bezig geweest met kleuren. Ik had niet Copics met de juiste kleuren, zooo irritant, en hoewel ik nog niet helemaal tevreden ben misstaat ze niet.

Detailfoto met wat verschillende bloemen, kersenbloesem in het midden, dan appelbloesem (beide van Wild Orchids) and nog een roosje ernaast. Die groene krulletjes maak ik altijd van de steeltjes die ik van de bloemetjes afknip en vervolgens om een sateprikker draai. Detailpicture with some different flowers, cherry blossom in the middle, than appleblossom (both by Wild Orchids) and a little rose. I make the green curly thingies from the stems that I cut off the flowers and wrap around a toothpick.

Hier nog een fotootje met het doosje open, ik vind het echt een dotje geworden (al zeg ik het zelf, bloos...).
Here's a picture with the box opened, I think it turned out so cute (even if I do say so myself, blush...).

Maar als laatste nog even een foto van de gezusters taart samen en zeg nou zelf, is die van Annika ook niet HELEMAAL GEWELDIG???!!!!!

We gaan natuurlijk voor de TOMIC challenge, die hadden Bingo, dus er zitten parels, iets van metaal en een lint met strikje op de mijne.

Hoe ouder ik wordt ...../The older I get.....

Tja, dat gevoel hebben we allemaal wel eens nietwaar?? Vandaag nog toen ik bij fysio op de bank lag haha!! Maar Gus (want zo heet die knapperd op deze digi) heeft er last van dat 'ie zijn ballen niet meer kan vinden. Nou ja ik bedoel, dat is toch wel héél lastig hè?! Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor een achterneef van mij die deze week met pensioen gaat. Het papier is van Action en de schets is van Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
We all have that feeling sometimes don't we?? I had it today when I was on the massage table at the fysiotherapist. But Gus (cause that's the guy in this digi) has trouble finding his balls. Now that must be awkward not being able to find your balls!! I made this card for my cousin who will be retiring this week. The paper is by Action en the sketch is by Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en uitgesneden met een nestability. Een houten 'bloemetje' en een lintje, veel meer is het niet. Het is per slot van rekening een mannenkaartje. Of de foto komt het niet zo over maar de lucht is heel zachtblauw gekleurd met Broken China.
I coloured the image with Distress Inks and cut it out with a nestability. A little wooden flower and a ribbon, and that is about it. It is after all a guy card. It doesn't really show on the picture but the sky is coloured light blue with Broken China.

De binnenkant heb ik ook weer meegenomen, ik begin er een beetje aan gewend te raken. Simpel gehouden hoor.
I did the inside too, I am sort of getting used to that. I did keep it simple though.

Hallo luitjes, even een kort berichtje om jullie te laten weten dat ik er een paar daagjes tussenuit ben. We gaan lekker twee dagen naar Limburg. Ik hoor dat het jammer genoeg niet zo mooi weer wordt, dus de plu mee en dan zien we wel. Donderdag ben ik weer thuis dus dan kom ik weer op visite hoor! En een berichtje zonder foto is niks dus hierbij nog een foto van het doosje dat ik heb gemaakt op de Doe@Ding demodag.

Forever Friends tag, op verzoek van Sieta...en candy gewonnen

Het houdt niet op deze week, eerst die leuke verrassing van Crealautje, en nu kwam de candy binnen die ik bij Daniele The musings of a Chocoholic had gewonnen. Geweldig hoor, een pak Aquamakers, prachtig lint, een hele mooie tag die zij had gemaakt en dan ook nog lekkere chocola uit Engeland, jammie!! Super bedankt Daniele!!

Het lint dat erbij zat gaan julllie meteen zien want ik heb het gebruikt bij deze tag. Sieta was aan het klagen dat er te weinig mensen meededen aan de challenge bij Forever friends. Aangezien ik geen stempel heb ben ik op zoek gegaan en vond ik nog een piramidevel met deze beertjes. Uit de hand goed rond knippen vind ik heel lastig en ik was dus niet tevreden. Met een nestability heb ik dus een soort cirkelframe gemaakt dat ik eromheen heb geplakt en dat camoufleert het met de hand knippen.
I am such a lucky girl, after getting that lovely surprise from Crealautje, today arrived the candy I had won on Daniele's blog Musings of a Chocoholic. Do go and check her blog out, she makes wonderful creations! There were Aquamarkers in there, gorgeous ribbon which you will see in a minute, a lovely tag she made and some yummy chocolate from England!! Thanks a bunch Daniele!
Sieta was complaining that there were too few people joining in the Forever Friends challenge, so I started looking around my craft room and found this piramid image. However, I find it very difficult to cut out a proper circle by hand and so I cut a circle frame around it with a nestie to cover that up.

Ik heb de foto op de vensterbank genomen om het beste licht te krijgen. Je kunt het zo ook al een beetje zien maar op de volgende foto nog beter want ik heb rond het bad met Glossy Accents druppels gemaakt. Langs de geschulpte rand heb ik met Viva Decor pareltjes gemaakt.
I took the picture on the window seal to get the best light I could. You can sort of see it here, but it comes out better on the next picture. I made some water drops with Glossy Accents around the bath and on the scallopped edge I made pearls with Viva Decor.

Wat bloemetjes in de kleur van het achtergrondpapier (dat ik al eeuwen heb en waarvan ik geen idee heb welk merk het is). De takjes en het vlinderrandje met Thankzzz met een Martha Stewart pons gemaakt.
I added some flowers in the colour of the background paper (which I have had for ages and no idea where it came from). The branches and butterfly edge from the sentiment are made with a Martha Stewart punch.

En dit is dan dat prachtige lint dat in mijn candy zat! Past het er niet perfect bij? Ik heb met dubbelzijdig tape satijnlint op de achterkant geplakt om het af te werken; het is nl. geweven en de achterkant van het lint is niet mooi. Dat zie je niet als je het opplakt, maar in dit geval wel.
And this is the gorgeous ribbon that was in my candy!! Doesn't it match my tag perfectly? I put some satin ribbon on the back with doublesided sticky tape because the ribbon if woven and the back doesn't look nice. If you stick it on a project that is no problem but in this case it would show and I thought this looked much nicer.

Ik zei het toch, vakantie en dus heerlijk knutselen! Deze kaart heb ik vandaag gemaakt met een Don & Daisy stempel. Papier van Maja, een Doohickey bloem met appelbloesems van Wild Orchids, Magnolia chandelier en op de hoeken een stempel met embossing poeder van Heindesign Chamäleon. De schets is van Pink Sketch Challenges en ontworpen door Ann Vento, ik vond het een hele fijne schets om mee te werken.
Told you so, I'm on holiday so time to craft! I made this card today with a Don & Daisy stamp. The DP is Maja Design, I added a Doohickey flower with apple blossom flowers bu Wild Orchids, a Magnolia chandelier and in two corners a stamp with embossing powder by Heindesign Chamäleon. The sketch is from Pink Sketch Challenges and an Ann Vento design, I loved working with this sketch.

Ik heb de stempel ingekleurd met Distress Inkt, nog steeds een fijn kleurmedium om mee te werken. Ik vind het haar op deze stempels niet echt mooi, als je het egaal inkleurt lijkt het net een badmuts, vandaar dat ik geprobeerd hebt wat haar structuur aan te brengen met dunne kwastlijntjes.
I coloured with Distress ink, I still like working with this colour medium. I don't like the hair bit on these stamps, when you colour it plain it looks like a shower cap, so I tried to add some structure by making fine lines.

Op en naast de Doohickey bloem heb ik appelbloesem geplaatst, de chandelier steekt er aan de bovenkant uit en de blaadjes zijn van een Nellie Snellen floral pons. De libelle is een Cheery Lynn stans die ook een achterkant heeft dus je kunt met 2 kleuren werken. Rond de vleugels wat Stickles aangebracht.
On and next to the Doohickey flower I added aple blossoms, the chandelier sticks out on top and the leaves are a Nellie Snellen floral punch. The dragonfly is a Cheery Lynn die that has a backing so you can work in 2 colours. I added some Stickles on the wings.

Linksonder heb ik twee spelden gemaakt met kralen en een kralenhoedje en daarop heb ik een strikje aangebracht. Onderaan een tekststempel van Nicole Verkooijen gestempeld met Frayed Burlap en uitgestanst met een nestability.
On the bottom left I added two selfmade pins with beads and a bead cap on which I made a little bow. Underneath is a sentiment by Nicole Verkooijen stamped with Frayed Burlap and cut out with a nestabillity.

Tenslotte nog de binnenkant, jawel, die heb ik deze keer ook mooi gemaakt :) Geniet allemaal van jullie weekend c.q. herfstvakantie! Liefs, Frea

Heerlijk Herfstvakantie, ben er zoooooo aan toe!!! En mijn 1e boekenlegger.

Hoi luitjes, oh wat lekker toch, dat idee een hele week vrij in het verschiet! Ik ga er super van genieten. Ik wil eerst even mijn nieuwe volgers Miranda en Hennie welkom heten. Ben er best wel trots op dat het er al zoveel zijn!
Vorig weekend had ik een boekenlegger gemaakt, jullie kennen 'm wel toch, zo'n driehoekig model. Ik heb een mini Magnoliaatje erop gemaakt en het papier van Maja design gebruikt. De boekenlegger zelf is van Kraftpapier gemaakt. Ik heb gekleurd met Copics en verder nog een leuke swirl gestanst. Op de Knotsgekke Kaart- en Scrapdagen had ik het band gekocht dat onderaan de boekenlegger zit en ik vind het zo mooi bij dat blauwe Maja papier passen. Verder de boel nog een beetje beinkt met Distress inkt en dat was 'm dan wel.
Ik wens iedereen een fijn weekend en voor wie ook vakantie heeft, geniet ervan!! Liefs, Frea
Hi crafty girls, isn't it great to know that you have a whole week off!! I am soo going to enjoy myself.
I made one of these bookmarks last weekend, you know the model, that triangular shaped one. I used a mini Magnolia which I coloured with Copics. The bookmark was made out of kraft paper and the DP is Maja design. I added a swirl and some ribbon that I bought at the Knotsgekke Kaartt & Scrapdagen. I inked the edges with Distress Ink wlanut stain, and that was pretty much it.

Jongens kijk nou toch eens; kom ik vandaag thuis, lig er ineens dit in de bus!
Look at this ladies; I came home today to find this in my mailbox!

Zomaar gekregen van mijn blogvriendin Crealautje (die eigenlijk gewoon Laura heet hihi)!! Is dat niet lief?! Ik had haar mooie kerstkaart bewonderd met één van de nieuwe kerst Magnolia's en gezegd dat ik toch best wel jaloers was op die mooie stempels (bloos). En dan stuurt ze me zomaar al deze afdrukjes toe met nog een mooie kaart erbij ook!! Je bent een lieve schat Laura!! Volgende week heb ik vakantie en dan ga ik hier toch zooooo lekker mee knutselen!! Als jullie haar blog niet kennen moeten jullie allemaal echt eens bij Laura gaan kijken hoor, ze maakt de leukste kaarten!!
My blogfriend Crealautje (who's name really is Laura LOL) sent me these!! Now how sweet is that?!! I had been admiring her gorgeous Christmas card with the new Magnolia stamp and said that I was a little jealous of all these lovely new stamps (blush). And then she sends me all these great stamped images and one of her pretty cards as well! You're a sweetheart Laura!! Next week I have a holiday and I will make sooo many great cards with these!! Maar ik heb deze week ook nog een baby kaartje gemaakt - voor een meisje, ik zei het al want die waren op!! Als basis heb ik kraft papier gebruikt. Het stempeltje is volgens mij een Sugar Nellie. Het geruite papier heb ik een keer gewonnen in een candy bij Debby uit Engeland dus ik weet het merkt niet. Het grijs met de bloemetjes is Action. Verder een Magnolia swirl die ik van mijn zus heb gestanst met dew drops erop.
But I did make a baby card for a girl, since I had non left in my stash. The basic card is kraft paper. The checkered paper I won in a candy so I don't know the brand, the grey paper with flowers is Action. I think the stamp is a Sugar Nellie.

Ik heb een rozet gemaakt met de Tim Holtz stans en het bloemetje erop is van hetzelfde kant als het roze kantje dat over de kaart loopt maar dan lichtroze.
Verder een Magnolia swirl die ik van mijn zus heb gestanst met dew drops erop.

I made a rosette with a Tim Holtz die and the flower is made with the same lace as the dark pink lace across the card.
I added a Magnolia swirl from a die that my sister owns and put some dew drops on the leaves.

De binnenkant van de kaart heb ik met hetzelfde papier en kant versierd.
I did the inside of the card with the same paper and lace.

't Is the season.....

Nou ja, nog niet helemaal, maar op tijd beginnen is het halve werk. Ik heb nog een aantal LOTV stempels liggen die ik nog nooit had gebruikt dus dat werk hoog tijd. Deze zullen jullie nog een keer voorbij zien komen van de week, want ik heb 'm als proef 2 keer gestempeld, één keer met Memento om met Copics te kleuren, en één keer in Stazon en die wordt met Distress inkt ingekleurd. Gewoon om nou eens te zien wat het verschil in effect is. Deze eerste is dus met Copics gekleurd. Het papier is van Whimsey Stamps, heel mooi papier dat verder weinig versiering nodig heeft. Ook het plaatje van de stempel is eigenlijk al compleet dus meer dan een paar pareltjes en een ticket kerstwens (ook van Whimsey) heeft hij niet nodig.
Well, not quite, but you can never start early enough. I had a few LOTV stamps that haden't been inked up so that was about time. You will see this one again somewhere this week because just for trying out I stamped this one twice, once in Memento to colour with Copics en once with Stazon to colour with Distress inks, just to see how different the effect would be (this one was coloured with Copics). The paper is by Whimsey Stamps and I think it's gorgeous! It doesn't need much especially with this complete stamped scene so I just gave the card some pearls and a ticket stamp and die (also by Whimsey).

Er komen een paar close ups van het stempeltje. Ik heb het ijs waar ze op schaatst eerst blauw gekleurd; vervolgens bewerkt met transparant Ultra Thick Embossing poeder. Dat heb ik verschillende lagen gegeven zodat het goed dik werd. Goed af laten koelen en vervolens gebroken zodat er allemaal scheuren in kwamen. Daarna heb ik e.e.a. ingesmeerd met Distress inkt Broken China zodat dat in de scheuren kwam te zitten die extra zichtbaar worden. Ik vind het effect top!
There are a few close ups of the image. I coloured the ice on which she's skating blue first; then I used UTEE embossing powder clear and gave it a few layers zo it got really think. Once that was cooled off I broke 'the ice' so cracks appeared. I then used Distress Ink Broken China and smeared that in the cracks to make them show more. I love the effect!

De sneeuwvlokjes heb ik gemaakt met Alleen's True Snow en ook op het ijs heb ik wat sneeuw aangebracht daar ik nog wat glitter overheen heb gestrooid. Ook op het hondje en het jasje heb ik heel subtiel een beetje sneeuw aangebracht. Linksboven heb ik de kersterren van het achtergrond papier ingeknipt zodat ik het plaatje eronder kon schuiven. Zo krijgt hij meer 'eenheid' met de achtergrond. Rondom het papier waarop ik gestempeld heb zit een randje Stickles maar dat zie je alleen op de totaalfoto van de kaart want dat zat er hier nog niet op. De muts en bontrandjes heb ik gemaakt met Flower Soft.
I made the snowflakes with Alleen's True Snow and added some snow and glitter to the ice. I gave the doggy and the coat just a spec of snow. On the top left of the image I cut out the pointsettias in order to make the image and the background sort of melt together.

De ticket stempel heb ik gestempeld met perfect medium en bewerkt met embossing poeder Kaleidoskop van Heindesigns. Het is heel zachtroze met heel veel glitter erin. Het kwam wel mooi uit tegen die zachtgroene achtergrond.
The ticket stamp had a lightgreen background and I stamped with Perfect Medium and used embossing powder by Heindesigns called Kaleidoskop. It's very softpink with lots of glitter in. It worked well against that soft green background.

Tenslotte nog een foto van de binnenkant; ik heb een variant van het papier van de voorkant gebruikt en simpelweg een ovaal label aangebracht waarop kan worden geschreven. Ook dat is van papier dat bij deze set kerstpapier hoort.
And finally a picture of the inside of the card; I used another paper from this set sort of similar in colours to the front of the card and added a lable for writing a personal message on. The lable too is cut out of paper from this set.

Ik heb de copics ook weer voor jullie gefotografeerd, begin er nu een beetje aan te wennen om dat te doen.

Een opkikkertje...

Voor een goede vriendin die afgelopen week (in de week dat ze jarig was....) een heel naar bericht kreeg heb ik dit opkikkertje gemaakt. Het stempeltje is volgens mij van de Action en heb ik ingekleurd met Derwents.
Van binnen zit nog een label met daarop een persoonlijke tekst en natuurlijk wat Merci chocolaatjes erin. Het is een bekend doosje maar ze was erg geroerd erdoor. Een kleinigheid kan soms voor iemand veel betekenen. Fijn weekend allemaal, Frea
I made this one for a good friend who got some bad news last week (in the week of her birthday at that...). The stamp is by Action I think and I coloured it with Derwents. ADV dag (day off), heerlijk, lekker de hele dag doen waar ik zin in heb!!!

Vandaag eens lekker een ADV dag, woohoo, heerlijk doen waar ik zelf zin in heb. Hoewel ik deze van het weekend al had gemaakt had ik geen tijd om 'm te plaatsen. Het is een baby kaartje geworden en het stempeltje had ik dubbel gestempeld zodat ik de mijne als voorbeeld kon gebruiken voor mijn zus Annika die graag wilde leren werken met Distress inkt. Nou ze is om hoor en ze heeft gisteravond een bakje vol met druppeltjes meegenomen zodat ze thuis ook aan de slag kan. Maar goed, ik ben eens gaan graven in mijn restanten bakje en vond een stukje van het lichtblauwe achtergrondpapier met stippen waaronder ook oranje stippen. Zo ontstond deze een beetje onwaarschijnlijke kleurencombinatie. Toch vind ik het wel fris ogen. Achter de cirkel zit een hartvormige doily waarvan ik de randen met Stickles heb bewerkt.

I'm having a day off so I can do as I please today and of course I'm posting a card! This one started with the image which I stamped twice because Annika wanted to learn how to work with Distress Inks. I coloured mine and she coloured along, and went home yesterday with a palet full of drops of ink so she can try it at home now. I used a piece of DP (the blue with the large dots) from my left over stash and it had orange dots, so that's how this unlikely colour combo was made. But I think it looks kinda fresh en happy. Behind the circle is a heartshaped doily, the edges of which I used Stickles on.
Zoals gezegd heb ik gekleurd met D.I. waarna ik de baby heb uitgeknipt. De cirkel waar ik haar op heb geplakt is gestikt op de groene achtergrond en ik heb met blauw chalk het midden een beetje kleur gegeven waarna ik met Broken China de hartjes heb gestempeld. Verder heb ik de baby flink wat glitter gegeven.

As I said I coloured with D.I., then cut the baby out and stitched a white circle on the green background. I used blue chalk to give the white some colour and used Broken China to stamp some hearts around the baby. Then I used quite some Stickles to glitter her up.
In de hoek boven een mooi toefje bloemen en blaadjes met een Martha Stewart pons gemaakt.

On the right hand top I put a small flower arrangement and added leaves made with a Martha Stewart punch.
Tenslotte nog een stempel met embossing poeder bewerkt van Precious Baby. Ik zie trouwens in mijn voorraad doos dat ik wel 4 (!) geboortekaartjes voor jongens heb en geen enkele meer voor een meisje. Er zijn er de laatste tijd in mijn omgeving dan ook veel geboren (meisjes bedoel ik hihi). Dus ik weet wat me te doen staat. De meisjes kaartjes komen eraan :) Liefs, Frea

Anything but a card for Halloween!!

Dit heb ik gemaakt voor de uitdaging op het TOMIC blog. Het is een wit papieren zakje dat ik eerst gevormd heb door het aan de bovenkant om te slaan. Vervolgens heb ik twee Magnolia stempels ingekleurd met Copics en het zakje versierd met gras, een pompoenplant en nog wat Halloween decoraties. Als je er een glazen potje in zet met een waxinelichtje moet je er wel één nemen die hoog is vanwege brandgevaar. Als het kaarsje brand zie je de contouren van de Magnolia's en de decoraties. Een heel leuk gezicht, maar ook op de dag ziet het er leuk uit.

Natuurlijk heeft het heksje een zwarte kat bij haar voeten.

En zo ziet het eruit als het donker is!

Ik hoop dat jullie 'm leuk vinden, het ziet er in ieder geval errug gezellig uit zo 's avonds.

Woohoo, 't is weekend!!! Dit kaartje had ik woensdag al gemaakt maar geen tijd om 'm te plaatsen.

Het is een kaart voor een hele goeie vriendin die dit weekend 50 jaar wordt. Een bijzondere verjaardag natuurlijk dus een bijzondere kaart hoort er dan bij. Ik heb voor mijn Agnes stempel gekozen, blijf die zoo leuk vinden met haar hangtieten (excusé le mot haha) en haar gigantische hoed! De kaart is van kraftpapier en het designpapier is van K & Company, Julianne, echt een prachtig blokje. Ik heb weer eens flink gedistressed en vervolgens alles doorgestikt. Het kraft randje is geponst met een Martha Stewart pons Deco Fan.
This is a card for a very good friend who is turning 50 this weekend. A special birthday so a special card was needed. I chose Agnes with her falling boobs and gigantic hat!! I find her hilarious! The card is kraft paper and the design papers are K & Company Julianne, a lovely paper pad. I distressed everything thoroughly and then stitched it all together with the sewing machine. The kraft edge was punched with a Martha Stewart punch called Deco Fan.

Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met Copics en de jurk is gepaperpieced met het bloemetjes papier op de achtergrond. Onderaan zit een groen fluwelen ribbellintje. De onderste twee bloemen van de onderste bloem (kunnen jullie het nog volgen hihi) zijn van stof en de bovenste bloem daarvan en die andere twee heb ik met een Copic stift de goede kleur geel gegeven.
I coloured the image with Copics and the dress was paperpieced with the flower DP in the background. At the bottom is a green velvet ribbon. The bottom to flowers of the bottom flower (are you still with me LOL) are fabric, and the top one of that flower and the other two were coloured with a Copic marker in order to make the right colour of yellow.

En jawel hoor, ik heb er weer aan gedacht een foto te nemen van de Copics die ik heb gebruikt!!
And yessss, I remembered to take a picture of the Copis I used!!

Mannenkaartje

Een kaartje met een verhaal eraan; zoals een aantal van jullie wel weten gaan wij sinds 13 jaar in de zomer op vakantie in een kasteeltje in Frankrijk. Al die jaren loopt daar al monsieur Gilbert rond die het kasteel en de gronden onderhoudt. Een paar jaar geleden pas hoorden wij dat hij al ver in de 60 jaar oud was, onbegrijpelijk want hij hakt bomen en sjouwt de hele dag rond. Komende week wordt deze man dus 70 jaar en mijn man gaat samen met een paar oudgedienden van de kasteelweek naar het kasteel om hem eens in het zonnetje te zetten. Natuurlijk moest daar dus een kaart voor komen en dit is 'm; ik vond het wel grappig om deze sexy dame erop te zetten. Ik hoop dat dit binnen de humor van de Fransen valt haha!!
This is a card with a story attached. As some of you know we have been spending out summer holiday since 13 years now in France in a castle. All of these years the caretaker there who maintains both castle and grounds is monsieur Gilbert. It wan't until a few years ago we learned that he was already way over 60 and just this summer the owner told us he would turn 70 (!) this week. And he's cutting trees and working very very hard all day long, every day!! So my hubby and a few other people are going over there to celevrate with him. Of course a card was needed and this is it. I thought it would be funny to add a sexy lady to the card (I just hope his wife will appreciate it too LOL).

Ik heb haar met Copics gekleurd en het papier is van de Action. De roset natuurlijk met mijn nieuwe Tim Holtz stans.

Ik heb de binnenkant ook versier, maar net als de buitenkant heb ik alles wel simpel gehouden, het is per slot van rekening een mannenkaart.
I decorated the inside but everything simple, it is after all a mens card.

Tenslotte heb ik er weer aan gedacht om een foto van mijn Copis te maken, goed hè?!

Heerlijke dag gehad bij Doe@Ding.

Gisteren zijn mijn zus Annika, Annelies = een vriendin van me uit België, en ondergetekende lekker naar Doe@Ding geweest. Het was een super geweldige dag met mooie aanbiedingen, o.a. een tafel met prachtige stempel , papers pads en andere leuke dingen en allemaal 4 voor € 10,-. Nou wij hebben onze slag geslagen hoor!
Hier een paar foto's van 'de buit'!!

Yesterday my sister, Annelies, a friend of mine from Belgium and yours truly went to the Demo Days at Doe@Ding. We had a great day and they had some great offers, like a table full with wonderfull stamps, paper pads and other goodies, all 4 for € 10,-!! Now isn't that a bargain?! Here's a few pics of our 'loot'!!

Deze Karen Doodles stempels waren dus gewoon € 2,50, da's toch niet te geloven?! En links zien jullie die schattige Magnolia die speciaal voor deze dag is gemaakt. We hebben 'm ingekleurd tijdens een workshop bij Monique Lokhorst. Die is toch GOED hè?! En zo'n aardig gezellig mens ook! Omdat we in tijdnood kwamen lukte het niet meer het doosje waar 'ie op hoort af te maken maar dat ga ik dit weekend nog doen en dan komt 'ie op mijn blog pronken hoor!
These Karens Doodles stamps were only € 2,50, can you beklieve it?? And on the left is the Magnolia stamp that was made especially for this day. We coloured it during a workshop by Monique Lokhorst who designs for the Magnolia Magazine, she's sooo good. And such a wonderfull friendly person too! Because there wasn't enough time we didn't get to finish the box the image is supposed to be on, but you will get to see the endresult this weekend on my blog, promise!!

En dan kregen we als klap op de vuurpijl bij het weg gaan ook nog een leuke goodie bag met een Marianne paper pad, mooie bling, een zakje knoopjes en een hele leuke 'zakjes slinger waar je je kaarten in kunt schuiten en op display kunt hangen. Verder heb ik natuurlijk Nicole Verkooijen weer gezien, Anita die dat schattige niewe boekje heeft geschreven van Don & Daisy en ik kwam op het laatst ook nog Amanda tegen van Amanda's scrapsels. Kan niet wachten om met al mijn speelgoed te gaan spelen, maar eerst moet ik nog even in de zon gaan zitten hoor, het zijn waarschijnlijk de laatste zonnestralen die we krijgen dit jaar. And last but not least, when leaving everyone received a goodie bag with a Marianne Paper pad, some blingies, a badwith buttons and flowers and a garland in which you can display your cards. So I can safely say we had a wonderful day. Met some lovely people I blog with too which is always nice. Can't wait to start working with my new 'toys'but I do have to sit in the sun a little bit. It's probably te last we are going to get this year LOL!!

Kaartje voor José, kon niet wachten om 'm te plaatsen!!

Hallo allemaal, hier een kaartje dat bestemd is voor José, (en sorry José, ik kon gewoon niet wachten om 'm erop te zetten. Ik hoop dat jij 'm net zo leuk vindt als ik.) De schets is van TOMIC en die ging samen met een inspirational foto, meer voor de kleurstelling. Het papier dat ik heb gebruikt is voor de helft van de Action en voor de andere helft van K & Company, het combineerde echt perfect en ik had 4 verschillende dessins nodig. De vlinder van Cheery Lynn en de blaadjes een Marianne stans, zo ook de swirl achter de bloemen.
Hi everyone, here is a card I made for José for her birthday (sorry José just couldn't wait to post it). The sketch is from the TOMIC blog en was combined with an inspirational picture for the colours. Two of the paper are from the Action and the other to by K & Company; it combined perfectly and I needed 4 papers for this sketch. The butterfly is by Cheery Lynn and the leaves and swirl behind the flowers are Marianne dies.

Ik heb ingekleurd deels met Distress Inkt en deels met Derwent potloden.
I coloured with Distress Inks as well as with Derwents this time.

Aan de binnenkant heb ik één van de vier papiertjes van de voorkant geplakt met een label om op te schrijven en nog een mooi vlindertje.
On the inside I decorated with one of the papers on the front and a netability lable, and I added another butterfly.
